If you’d like to avoid reading my incessant ramblings, you’ll find the ‘j’ key on desktop to be much to your aid in skipping this post.  I really do wonder, at times, if I’d have more luck were I the more bubbly and optimistic sort. Obviously, much of this ‘luck’ is simply one’s perception of their surroundings making things appear much more favorable than they might to another. But there’s certainly some merit in the social benefits to be reaped from such a persona.  Not that it’s anything I could ever manage. I suppose it just gets… oh, dreary. Likely all of my own doing, of course, that the only two people that consistently express will to be around me are my siblings, whether biological or found. It feels almost as though it’s merely an obligation.  I suppose I can’t complain too much. Were I to meet someone so conceitedly cagey and uptight, perhaps I would keep my distance as well. I certainly won’t ever manage to be bubbly and optimistic, but I suppose I can’t help but wonder.  I was just a little girl, once. Perhaps I would be a very different person were my mother to have lived that night? There are obvious psychological implications to my upbringing. But my brother didn’t end up like myself, even so. The classic argument of nature versus nurture, I suppose.
