Why did his eyes fight through the darkness toward Ardyn? What could he see that left his expression so vague? Kefka wasn't sleeping...or was he? Ardyn truly couldn't tell.

Although the mages' eyes were pried and unmoving, his expression showed some degree of awareness. It was as if his gaze stared through the chancellor and straight toward the unknown. Even plagued, he was beautiful. Reddish marks of make-up had made way for his bare, pale skin. Ardyn enjoyed the garishness of his paint-work but he enjoyed his flesh oh-so more.

Rather than speculate the reason behind his tormented features, Ardyn nudges him awake. A hand wraps fingers around his shoulder to pull him in close; the mage is small enough to fit just short and curled between Ardyn's knees and his neck. He lavishes the quilt over the pair, tucking it snugly into Kefka's neck before enveloping him entirely with his arm.

"Behemoth?!" 

He expresses himself with an agape mouth and widened hues, his shock is of course exaggerated for her betterment. The father greets his hands with his hips and for a moment he goes silent before a low growl omits from his lips. 

Imitating the snarl of a beast, he begins to huff and snort toward her. His eyes narrow to slits and he shakes his already ruffled hair only to disarray it even more so.

"Now you've done it, child!" His voice bellows into a mocking roar "behemoths eat children!" 

His hands straddle at her sides before he lifts her body over his shoulder, the chancellor rises to his full height taking her with him in the process.
