Nicholas had bought supplies while Jian had bought food for later during the party. Nicholas and Jian had decided to throw a New Yearâs party for themselves and the members of &Team. Jianâs members had gone back home for the holidays so Jian was left alone with Nicholas and Nicholas wanted to celebrate with everyone.
Jian set out the food while Nicholas put up the decorations and set the mood for the party. âAĂ, you did amazingâ he took a small piece of the brownie she was putting down. âWang Yixiangâ she crossed her arms. âWhatttt I wanted to try itâ he pouted. âYou can wait for 20 more minutes Nichoâ she chuckled as Nicholas tickled her. âStopppppâ she whined cutely as the door bell rang. âWe will continue this laterâ he smirked opening the door.
âIn your dreams Nicoâ she chuckled going to greet the members. The members came in loudly to say the least, but it was &Team of course they were loud. âWow, Jian noona did a good job!â Euijoo admired eating the cookie she made. âThank you Euijooâ Jian smiled as Nicholas came in hugging her from the side. Fuma and K were drinking some sake watching Maki, Harua, and Jo playing a game.
The party went on normally with no accidents. âLetâs have a toast, We accomplished so much this year and that everyone could show off their true potentialâ K started. âAnd to Jian, who has helped Nicholas through 2023 and Iâm hoping in 2024 you both can grow closer togetherâ The members cheered drinking the nonalcoholic drink. âI have to confess somethingâ Nicholas turned to Jian.
Jian got worried as Nicholas pulled her closer. âOur journey as a couple I was hard, I admit wasnât the best boyfriend in the beginning but now I realize how much to mean to me Jian. Our journey together isnât over yet and Iâm happy to call you mineâ Nicholas kissed her as the members cheered. âHappy 2024 Lee Jianâ Nicholas rested his forehead on hers. âLetâs have a wonderful year Nicholasâ Jian smiled.

With SMâs permission, Anton took a trip to New York to surprise Rin and spend New Years with her. Aria would be performing for New Years Rockinâ Eve in New York along with NewJeans. He came a day or so early so it wouldnât interfere with New Years. Anton stayed with his mother in New Jersey texting Rin.
Anton went to the venue the next morning to see the group practicing for tonight. They would be performing âPerfect Nightâ âFearlessâ and âAntifragileâ for the show. Anton watched happily grabbing coffee for the group. âRinnieâ Jiyeon grabbed her water bottle. âHm?â She asked turning to Jiyeon. âI think someone is here to see youâ she pointed to Anton. âChanyoung!â Rin ran to him giving him the biggest hug.
âHi Chaeriâ he kissed her cheek. âHow? What? Why? When?â She asked as Anton chuckled. âWelll I got permission from SM to surprise you and the members are going home for New Years soooo I thought this was a good excuse to see youâ Anton explained as Rin smiled shyly. âYou didnât have to do that Antonâ she pouted. âI wanted toâ He replied as he handed her the hot coffee.
The next few hours, Anton showed her around New Jersey mostly since it was his home after all. Rin got to meet his mother and younger brother, funny enough his mother knew Rinâs mother from a drama they did in the 90âs.
Night soon came as the performance went underway. Antonâs mother Hyejin filmed the entire thing with Anton watching also filming (mostly a fancam of Rin lmao) singing along. While it was cold dancing kept them warm enough especially Antifragileâs choreography.
After performing the two went back to the hotel where Rin and the group were staying as he got apple cider to cheer on and something to eat. âTo a wonderful yearâ They both cheered sipping their apple cider. âKrys, weâve been dating for 5 months and I canât tell you how happy I am that youâre my girlfriend. Youâve made my life better and brighterâ Anton held her hands.
âTon, You may be weird and quiet but thatâs what I like about you. Keep being yourself Chanyoung and never changeâ Rin smiled as the two went on the balcony. â5âŠ4âŠ.3âŠ2âŠ.1â The crowd started to countdown as Anton turned to Rin kissing her. âHappy New Years Chaerinâ He pulled her close. âLetâs have a good 2024 Chanyoungâ Rin kissed him again.
Rin would be halting activities for a few day since she got a cold, from her sister of all people. Anton felt bad and brought back some soup and some hot drinks for her throat.
Coming into the house, he went into the bedroom greeting her. âJagiya you feeling okay?â He asked sitting on her bed. âA bit. My fever went down but my throat hurtsâ Rin sat up as Anton felt her forehead. âIâll go make some chicken soup for you okay?â He kissed her forehead heading into the kitchen.
A few minutes later, Rin went into the kitchen hugging Anton from behind kissing his cheek. âYouâre supposed to be sleepingâ he turned to her. âI need my Antonâ she pouted. âChaerin you need to restâ Anton was serious. âI want to be with youâ Rin hugged him tighter.
Anton kissed her. âI love youâ he moved hair of her face. âI love you moreâ she cooed. âIâll bring you dinner in bed okay? Go restâ he smiled as Rin pouted going back to bed. A few minutes past and Anton gave her dinner in bed sitting next to her. âWhen you get better weâll have a date night okay?â He promised. âThank you Chanyoungâ Rin smiled back.
ZB1 and Siren (Zhang Hao, Ricky, Yuxin, Jian) weâre set to appear on The Will Ben Show Foreigner Special. Jian who was born in Korea but was raised in Taiwan and the states. The two groups had clashing schedules which made them become close friends. Yuxin befriended Ricky and Zhang Hao as Jian did as well.
It was a blossoming friendship an iconic one as fans said they were. Hao was feeling more than friends with Jian. She was super intelligent, studying business and economics at a prestigious university while being an actor and singer? What canât she do? He didnât know her circumstances were but he wanted to ask her out.
Yuxin and Jian showed them around the HYBE building in Japan. âThis is hugeâ Ricky looked around looking at everything. âïżŒIt has like 14 floors I think?â Yuxin turned to Jian. âHow am I supposed to knowâ she chuckled showing them the practice rooms and the cafeteria. âIâm gonna show Ricky the boba shop nearby!â Yuxin grabbed his hand speed walking to the boba shop as Jian chuckled. An awkward silence followed as Zhang Hao cleared his throat.
âJian weâve been hanging out together these past few weeksâ Hao started. âI wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out with meâ Nicholas was walking by as soon as Zhang Hao confessed. Before Nicholas could hear her answer he left in a hurry. How could he beat Hao? He was handsome, tall, and had a teacher license he couldnât beat that.
Later that evening the tension could be felt in the air. âNicho youâve been quietâ she went over laying on the couch next to him. âIâm not in the moodâ he replied as Jian kissed his cheek. âYou can vent to meâ She sat next to him. âYou like him donât you?â He asked standing up. âWhat?â She asked going up to him. âYou like Hao-ge donât you?â Nicholas turned to her. âWhereâd you get that idea?â She asked.
âI saw you two in the lobby. He asked you outâ Nicholas crossed his arms. âJagiya. Heâs my friend why would I-â Before Jian could finish Nicholas scoffed. âYouâve been hanging out with him a lot these past few weeks and when I try to make plans with you, you cancel on me but when Hao-ge is available youâre able to hang out with himâ Nicholas started to shout.
Jian scoffed. âDo you really think I would cheat on you Nicholas? Is that how low you think of me?â Her eyes started to water. âIâm so done with you playing sick games with me Jian!â He yelled going to the bedroom. Jian went down to the pool area to cool down and let out her tears. Nicholas scrolled through videos and photos of them starting to cry himself.
He came out of the bedroom looking for Jian panicking before he saw her out by the pool rushing out of the apartment. She had taken off her promise ring playing with it. Before long Nicholas appeared behind her. âWhat do you want now?â She asked without turning around. âIf you want the ring back Iâll give it back to youâ Jian sighed. âI donât need the ring backâ he replied as he sat down next to her.
âI messed up and Iâm sorry I was jealous. I was afraid youâd replace meâ Nicholas admitted. âNicho. When you left I told Hao that I see him as a friend and Iâd rather stay friends. He respected thatâ Jian looked over at him. Nicholas nodded. âIâm sorry. I shouldâve heard your point first instead of storming off Iâm sorryâ Nicholas looked at her hoping she would accept his apology.
Jian put on her ring and smiled âitâs okay Nicholas. I would get upset as well we should work on how we address fights. I donât like fighting my relationship with Kiren (her ex) wasnât the best and I donât want to repeat itâ she laid her head on his chest. âI agree with the first part. And Iâm nothing like him okay? Weâll figure out to handle our fightsâ Nicholas pulled her closer.
Jianâs intrusive thought got to her. âNicho I think my ring fell in the poolâ she said panicking. âOkay okay itâs okayâ Nicholas took off his shirt diving into the pool trying to look for it. Jian chuckled âI canât find itâ He tried to look for it some more until he realized. âYou didnât lose it did you?â He asked. âNope. It was just an excuse to see you shirtlessâ she cooed. âCâmereâ Nicholas motioned as Jian got closer.
As soon as Jian realized it was a trap Nicholas pulled her int other water. âThat was for tricking meâ Nicholas smirked. âOkay Yixi you wanna play?â She asked grabbing a water gun spraying him. âYou got it in my eyeâ Nicholas worked hard on his acting. âIâm sorry babyâ she went over to him as Nicholas splashed her. âYou canât prank me little oneâ he went underwater picking her up. âIâm a year older than youâ Jian chuckled. âBut Iâm tallerâ He pecked her lips.
Jian chuckled as the two went inside cuddling up on the couch. As Jian fell asleep Nicholas played with her hair. âI was afraid of losing youâ he admitted whispering. âWeâve been through so much together I canât picture my life without youâ Nicholas pecked her cheek. âYou wonât lose meâ Jian responded as Nicholas pulled her close. âThatâs I promise Iâll keepâ Nicholas fell asleep next to her.

Jian had the biggest honor of having a solo stage performing âKnockâ a fan favorite and a favorite of hers. Her family has flown in from LAX to watch her perform and Nicholasâ family had flown in from Taiwan to watch &Team perform which ended up nicely for both parties.
Jian was doing soundcheck while &Team watched from the distance and Nicholas looking love sick. âI think heâs in loveâ Harua whispered to Yuma. âI think so tooâ Yuma whispered back. Jianâs family wanted to surprise her so they told Nicholasâ family and the group not to tell Jian about their surprise.
Getting off stage Nicholas and Jian greeted each other with kisses. âYou did so wellâ Nicholas giggled. âThank you jagiyaâ she cooed. âIâm excited for your performanceâ she kissed his cheek. âIâm more excited for yoursâ Nicholas booped her nose. Harua and Jo cleared their throat breaking up the lovely moment. âNicho-Chan we have to go practiceâ Harua pretended to tap his watch. âIâm gonna be backâ he kissed her cheek going up to the stage.
Siren watched &Teamâs performance and of course loved it. Jian hadnât seen her family for over 3 years due to the world shutting down and she was hella busy with a full packed schedule most often. Mostly traveling to Korea, Japan, and Thailand. Her parents were always supportive but knew they would cheer from the sidelines.
The performances started and every performance was amazing according to Jian and everyone else. With Jian performing &Team could see hope passionate she was about dancing and performing. Nicholas filmed the entire performance with a smile the entire time.
After Day 1 ended all of the members parents and family showed up. Jian greeted them but was sad she knew her parents were busy and especially her dad who traveled often. âJianâ Nicholasâ dad came up to her. âWhy donât you go to dinner with us?â He smiled. âAm I qualified?â She asked. âOf course you areâ Nicholas kissed her as they headed to the restaurant Nicholas picked.
âWe have 3 more people comingâ his sister told the waiter as Jian sipped her green tea. Jian thought it was his aunts or uncles making small talk with his family. âHelloâ a familiar voice greeted as Jian turned around. âAppa!â She ran up to hug him and her mother and her aunt. âWhat? How? Why? Where?â She asked. âWell somebody called us and told us about everything so we flew outâ Her mother Yuji smiled giving her daughter a big hug.
Jian went over to hug Nicholas giving him a kiss. âYou planned this huh?â She asked. âI did I didâ he boasted proudly as Jian booped his nose. âI love you a lot Jae I know you missed your family so I called them out here and tadaâ he replied cutely. âIâll always be here for youâ Jian laid her head on his chest. âDittoâ he kissed her forehead pulling her close.
Although Rin was a side / supporting character she was still happy to be on set. Pond was her biggest supporter while she was in the K-pop industry she was kind and caring, and Pond really adores her acting skills. âWe have a new cast member!â Director Jojo Tichakorn announced. Rin introduced herself âhi Iâm Krystal Ahn, I go by Rin and Iâm glad to be hereâ Rin introduced herself.
June already knew her from F4 Thailand when she played Won Jia, although they didnât have many scenes together (she had the most scenes with Ren / Dew). Phuwin looked over at Rin who was laughing and giggling with June going to get her hair and makeup done. Pond who smirked went over to him.
Pond cleared his throat. âYou like her huh?â He asked leaning against the wall. âNah Iâm not into dating kpop idolsâ Phuwin replied chuckling. âOkay misterâ Pond chuckled going to find Perth and Chimon. After hair and makeup she got set up and the scenes were ready to shoot.
Rin had several scenes with Phuwin some cast members agreed that they had some chemistry. After finishing shooting for the day Rin went over to Phuwin. âYou play Nuengdiao wellâ she sipped her water. âYou play Hana wellâ Phuwin responded. âThank youâ Rin smiled. Dating hasnât come across Phuwin or Rinâs minds at all, and Rin kinda did find Phuwin kinda cute and Phuwin kinda found Rin cute.
âLetâs go eat!!â Perth yelled as they finished shooting for the day. âYou need to comeâ Pond put his arm around Rinâs shoulder. âAm I qualified?â She asked. âOf course you are. Come come!â Chimon and Perth yelled happily. Rin chuckled following them with Phuwin following, maybe something good would come out of this.
Phuwin had promised he and Rin would spend the day together but he needed to go to Chula to do a few things. âYou can come with and we can head to the water park or I can come pick you upâ Phuwin suggested. âIâll go with you save the gasâ she chuckled following him to his car. She would meet his college friends for the first time so she was a bit nervous.
Upon arriving she met his friends in his engineering faculty. âDo you go to a Thai university?â One of his friends asked. âI go to Konkuk University in Korea I study business administrationâ Rin responded. âWeâll be here for an hour or two I promise we just need to finalize some things then weâll goâ he kissed her forehead. âI have to catch up on some lectures so Iâll nearby the windowâ she smiled as the two gave each other a goodbye kiss before going to work.
Rin was immersed in her music and stalls k he finalizing something. She was on a short video call with Jiho and Tag double checking if she did the project right. She was so immersed on her marketing project it took her a few seconds to realize someone was talking to her. âMiss is anyone sitting here?â He asked. âNoâ she answered gesturing for him to sit.
âIâm Yongâ he introduced. âKrystalâ Rin answered back closing her laptop. âDo you go here?â He asked. Rin shook her head âI go to Konkuk University in Korea I just started my third yearâ Rin explained. âIâm in Business Administrationâ she smiled. âIâm in the business facultyâ Yongâs eyes lit up. Yong and Rin ended up talking about the differences in both Thailand and Korea with business majors.
Phuwin and his group had finished finished as he glanced over at Rin his jealousy started to act up gathering his things quickly. âWould you like to go out sometime? I have never heard a beautiful girl like you have such a passion about businessâ Yong tried to get closer to her. Just as Yong said that Phuwin appeared behind her. âYou ready?â He asked as Rin nodded grabbing her things holding his hand.
âIt was nice to meet you Yongâ Rin waved as the two left. âPhu are you jealous?â She asked stopping in front of him. âNo why do you say that?â He asked. Rin chuckled âI saw you glare at PâYongâ She kissed his cheek. âHe asked you out Chaeriâ Phuwin held her hands. âAnd I never said yes Iâm with the handsome guyâ Rin kissed him. âAnd youâll always be my Chaeriâ Phuwin kissed back. Yong saw them with his heart breaking into a million pieces he would find a way into her heart.

Her wicked manager ruined everything, her career, image, and everything in general. As Nicholas held her hand protecting her, &Teamâs manager and Bang PD cleared their throats. âCan we have a chat please?â Both said in unison as they brought him to the meeting room. Nicholas turned around âdid he do anything to you? Are you sure?â He asked frantically. âNicho Iâm fineâ she hugged him.
Nicholas sighed pulling her closer. âHe wonât bother you again Iâm going to ask my manager if you can come to schedules with us. Since your group has no activity during our promotion itâs one of my many jobs as a boyfriend to protect you. You never know what he could doâ His voice sounded scared but strict. âNicho Iâll be fineâ Jian insisted as Nicholas shook his head.
Jian sighed before nodding. &Teamâs manager came out and looked at Jian âhe wonât be an issue for you now. Bang PD is going to try and fix this everything will be okayâ their manager smiled before leaving. âManager-nim, Harua is trying to make bunny marshmallows without supervision!â Jo yelled as Jian chuckled. âIâm always here for youâ &Teamâs manager gave them a warm smile before running over to Joâs whining.
Harua and EJ watched as her expression changed walking down sitting next to her. âAre you are feeling Jae?â EJ asked. âHorribleâ Jian answered as Harua pouted. âItâs going to get better I promise Jian-san youâre our noonaâ Harua replied handing her some of the bunny marshmallows he made with Maki. Jian smiled a bit before giving Euijoo and Harua a hug.
The hate comments kept dinging on her phone with responses like âwhy is Nicho even dating her? Sheâs talentlessâ âHe couldâve chosen better. Her rapping fucking sucksâ âChoose better Nicho sheâs a nuguâ all of those hurt Jian deeply she wanted to cry. All of this was hard on her while Nicholas was getting praise she was getting hated on and threatened.
Once the day was over, Nicholas spent some time at Jianâs penthouse trying to distract her while watching a movie. âAre you sure you want to watch this?â He asked. âYes Yixi itâs a good movie! Itâs spookyâ she kissed his jaw. âI live for spooky thatâs my middle nameâ Nicholas joked before Jian chuckled starting the movie.
While watching the movie Jian was falling asleep. âWe can watch this tomorrowâ Nicholas whispered kissing her cheek. âCan we?â She asked as Nicholas turned off the tv. âNichoâ she asked laying in bed. âHm?â He asked laying next to her. âWhat if everything goes to shit? Will we be okay?â Jian asked as Nicholas pulled her close. âI promise weâll be fine yeah?â He blushed falling asleep.
Walking through the mall Jian asked Rin about the dating news âHow did you handle the dating news? Did you get a lot of backlash?â She asked sitting down drinking her boba. Rin nodded âI got a lot of backlash at first since he is a BL actor and hated my guts. But a lot of fans were supportive and reported the hateful commentsâ Rin smiled holding her hand.
While talking &Team decided to crash the hangout. âWho influenced you?â Jian asked looking at Nicholas standing up. Nicholas chuckled nervously âWell Maki said I should come over, K-san said I shouldnât and youâre my girlfriend so hiâ Nicholas kissed her. âThank you for the visitâ she smiled kissing back. Fuma, Yuma, and Euijoo pretended to gag as K shushed them. âTheyâre finally happy. Sheâs apart of the &Team family now okay? Sheâs done so much for us and Nicholasâ Kâs statement echoed in her mind.

&Teamâs 1st anniversary celebrations were just starting all the excitement in the air. He was distracted while practicing and the members could tell something was wrong.
Nicholas was the last one to get backstage as Jian smiled. âHi Nichoâ she smiled softly. âJAEYEONNIE!â He ran to her with tears running down his cheeks. âWhat? How? Where? Why?â Nicholas asked. âMagicâ she pecked his lips. âLook Iâm sorry about the disagreement I canât stay mad at youâ Nicholasâ tears kept falling. Jian wiped off his tears hugging him âHoneybun all couples fight. Well Rinnie and Phuwin are different but still I forgive youâ she kissed him.
Finally, Nicholas had the smile Jian really adored since the beginning. âI love youâ He whispered. âI love you more jagiyaâ Jian blushed. Harua cleared his throat âNicho-hyung weâre going to dinnerâ he crossed his arms. âIâm coming!â Nicholas yelled over to Harua. âYou go have fun babyâ Jian playfully tugged at him. âBut what about you?â He asked concerned. âSheâs apart of the family nowâ K barged into the conversation. âLetâs go lovebirdsâ K smiled as Nicholas held her hand walking.

The two ended up chasing each other through the building when they ended up in a corner. Nicholas cleared his throat. Jian leaned in for a kiss which ended up in a makeout session in the corner of the building. The makeout session lasted at least 30 minutes before Jianâs manager found them kissing. âJIAN!â Her manager yelled breaking up the two.
âWhy the hell are you here? We need to talkâ he yelled pulling her to the office. Nicholas following behind biting his lip hearing Jian get scolded. His blood was boiling he was really angry and that wasnât even a good word to describe it. âI am so fucking disappointed in you Lee Jaeyeon. What am I going to tell the company? This will ruin your image!â Her manager yelled.
Nicholas ran to get K and Fuma panicking. âWeâll handle itâ K winked going to get their manager. âYouâre going to take a hiatus and apologize to the company and to everyone! Your-â before her manager could finish Nicholas came in. âIt was my fault and Iâm sorry please donât yell at Jiâ Nicholas held Jian close.
âIâm so sick and tired of Jianâs fucking relationship drama itâs harder on me and makes my job harderâ Her manager was about to approach Jian before Nicholas stepped in front of her. âPunish meâ He sternly replied. âNicoâ she mumbled quietly as Nicholas protected her. After a 3 year long journey Jian was finally going to graduate university. She had gotten into the business program in Dankook in 2020 and was finally graduating. Nicholas, her parents, &Team, her members, and friends would be attending.

Nicholas chatted with her brother and sister in-law for a bit until the ceromony started.
Calling all of the graduates in alphabetical order (Ahn, Bae, Baek, Byun, etc) until it came down to the Lâs. âLee Jaeyeonâ the announcer read out as &Team, her members, and her family cheered as she walked across the stage to revive her diploma. âLEE JAEYEON! LEE JAEYEON!â Jo, Harua, and K cheered as Jian chuckled going to where the other graduates were.
As the ceremony ended, she was talking with Bao and Yuxin along with Haewon, and Woorim her friends from her department. Nicholas snuck up behind her giving her a big hug. âYixiâ she smiled hugging back. âIâm so proud of youâ he kissed her. âThank you jagiyaâ she blushed sheeply. Jian ended up talking to her family for a bit. After saying goodbye to her family and friends she and the members decided to go get lunch before the party.
âJaeyeon-ssi!â Her mother stopped her before she and Nicholas headed out. âDonât stay out too late okay?â Her mother Yuji smiled softly. âYes eommaâ she smiled heading out the door with Nicholas. K, and Fuma would join while the other members prepared a surprise back at the dorm. Jian ended up drinking a few shots of Sake during the party. âShe has a high toleranceâ K whispered. âLet her beâ Fuma chuckled.
After eating some food at the bar she ended up going outside to get some fresh air. Nicholas followed behind her. âItâs a beautiful night huh?â He asked pulling her close to him. âIt is. Heading the crickets and the sound of the wind is very calmingâ she smiled. Nicholas pulled out his gifts handing it to her. Opening it she got a heart necklace and a promise ring they said âThis heart â€ïž belongs to Wang Yixiang (Nicholas)â Jian smiled hugging him.
âNicho itâs beautifulâ Jian looked in awe as Nicholas helped her out the necklace on. Jian put the ring on her ring finger also giving him a ring that said âThis heart â€ïž belongs to Lee Jaeyeon (Jianâ as he smiled putting it on. Staring into each other eyes Nicholas leaned in for a kiss as Jian kissed back. Fuma and K looked from afar and couldnât stop smiling. âSeeing Nicholas happy makes my heart flutterâ K admitted. âHeâs happy Iâm happyâ Fuma smiled watching the two happily.
Today was a big day, Jian and her two partners/friends Yuxin and Bao were going to present their project which would make or break their graduation requirements. They prepared really hard and pulled all-nighters just for this moment. Jian walked out of the bedroom greeting Mochi before preparing breakfast and coffee before heading to campus.
Nicholas knew today was a big day and wanted to surprise her with boba and himself of course. Yuxin, Bao, and Jian arrived on campus with Jian calming herself down taking deep breaths and clearing her mind. A text startled her smiling at the text âyouâll do great jagiya đâ ugh Nico was so charming no wonder they fell for each other. They headed in putting on their PowerPoint and starting the presentation.
What felt like forever it finally ended and would be receiving their results that evening. âI think I stumbled on my wordsâ Yuxin sighed walking out. âYou always doâ Bao chuckled spotting Jianâs boyfriend across the way. Jian was on her phone texting another friend as Bao tapped her. âYeonnie look upâ Bao put her phone away as Jian looked up running to Nicholas.
âHi jagiyaâ Nicholas hugged her kissing her. âIâm so proud of youâ he smiled. âSee you soon!â Bao and Yuxin yelled going to head home. Nicholas handed her drink as the two headed back to Jianâs place. While cuddling and kissing the grade from the presentation was posted. âNICO ITS POSTEDâ she yelled as she took a deep breath before opening it.

Alice was one of Laurelâs best friends from High School besides Susannah, Alice had two kids of her own Jinny and Jun (Junyoung) with Jun being the eldest by 2 minutes. âAlice!!â Laurel came out giving Alice a hug. âIts been so longâ Alice smiled. âJun Jinny itâs been so longâ Laurel gave them a hug as Jun and Jinny hugged back.
Jeremiah and Conrad came out greeting Jun and Jinny. âJunny has gotten tallerâ Jeremiah ruffled Junâs hair. âJin-jin is hereâ Belly hugged Jinny. âHow was the car ride?â Belly asked taking her bags heading up to the rooms. âLong. Jinny and Belly came downstairs laughing and talking with Laurel and Alice talking. âJin. Have you decided on a college yet?â Laurel asked. âI have several. Appa (dad) wants me to do Yonsei or Seoul National University he wants me to stay in Korea with himâ Jinny sat down at the island. âItâs your path Jin you pick what you wanna doâ Laurel smiled. âHow are you and Hanbin?â Laurel asked. Later that day, Alice and Laurel got ready for the Fourth of July party that Susannah was planning with the twins helping make the food and desserts. âIs Appa coming?â Jun asked getting the ingredients for the cupcakes Jinny was making. âHe texted me âwork has been crazy Iâll seeâ so I have no ideaâ Jinny replied starting to make the recipe. âHeâs never showed up to things anyways so I have low expectationsâ Jun got out the baking pan.
Finally the husbands had arrived with Jinny and Jun greeting their dad half heartedly. âJinhee, Junyoungâ he gave them a hug before greeting his ex-wife. âI bet $10 that his new wife doesnât know our namesâ Jun whispered into Jinnyâs ear as his new wife Eunbi entered. âYou must be Hanbinâs twins what are your names?â She asked carrying their 2 year old daughter.
âJinheeâ Jinny nodded slowly. âJunyoungâ Jun sighed. âThis is Kyungmiâ Eunbi introduced going over to Hanbin. âI think weâre replacedâ Jinny mumbled under her breath. âFor once in my life I agreeâ Jun agreed walking outside. Steven went over to Jinny who was staring at her father and âstep-motherâ actually getting along. âYou came here to swim Jin-jin why donât you come in?â He asked crossing his arms.
Jinny turned around. âDispute my day being ruined Iâll take you up on that offerâ she chuckled jumping in. âJun come on!â Jeremiah yelled splashing water at him. âFine fineâ Jun jumped in. While Steven was âseeingâ Shayla he couldnât help but be impressed with Jinnyâs glow up and she had a lot of confidence now. Peace didnât last that long when Jun and Jinny heard a heated argument from their parents.
Both of them stopped them from getting physical. âAdmit it Alice youâre jealous!â Their father yelled. âIf you hadnât abandoned our marriage this wouldnât happen!â Alice yelled back. âHey hey stop it! You both had a lot to drink and youâre both either tipsy or drunk letâs calm down!â Jun raised his voice at both of them. âEomma itâs fine letâs goâ Jinny tried to pull her away but refused. âMarrying you was a mistake Jiyoung. Look how the twins turned out!â Hanbin yelled.
âHey! Yelling and fighting is not going to get us anywhere itâs only going to create more issues!â Jinny yelled as Susannah, Laurel, Steven, Conrad and Belly came in. Hanbin looked at his daughter in disappointment before leaving with Kyungmi and Eunbi. Jinny felt hurt before also leaving the house to cool down. âIâll go talk to herâ Laurel got up going to catch up with Alice.
âShould we go comfort her?â Jeremiah asked. âLeave her be for a while. I canât fucking believe Appa would do that. He still wants her to attend college in Korea and pressure her to stay with him. All of this and him literally replacing us is taking a toll on her. Not to mention her ex being a damn cowardâ Jun may be older by two minutes but he was very protective over Jinny.
A few hours later, Steven went over to where Jinny was sitting down next to her. âYou feeling better?â He asked. âA bit. Iâm so used to this and I keep convincing myself it doesnât bother me it doesâ Jinny sighed. âIâm sorry that happenedâ Steven rubbed her back. As their eyes met Jinny could feel a spark blushing a bit before Steven closed the gap and it started a heated makeout session. Maybe this summer wasnât going to be bad after all.

The summer has ended and Steven was now a high school graduate and Jinny had a scholarship for her dancing âhobbyâ as her dad called it. Her mother Alice wanted her to do what her heart wanted. âAww my little sister graduatedâ Jun clapped coming up to her. âJun youâre 2 minutes older than meâ Jinny crossed her arms. âI know but stillâ Jun hugged her.
Her parents came to the graduation Hanbin and Alice walked over. âIâm really excited to see where your heart takes youâ Alice hugged her daughter tightly. Laurel, Belly, and Steven walked over to the family as well greeting them. âCongrats on getting a scholarshipâ Laurel gave Jinny a tight hug. âThank you Laurel. Iâm excitedâ Jinny smiled happily.
Soojin who was Jinnyâs childhood friend ran up to her. âYouâre going to Stevenâs graduation party right?â She asked. âI wasnât planning on why?â She asked confused. âYou should go have fun in your life youâre going to be in college for fucks sake goâ Soojin urged Jinny. âFirst you need to go shoppingâ Soojin went over to Alice and Hanbin and Jun.
âMay I steal Jinhee for a few hours?â Soojin asked her parents. âIs it a shopping spree?â Alice asked chuckling. âW-where are you guys going?â Steven asked walking up to them. âFinding cute ass outfits for your party tonightâ Soojin winked at Steven. Jinny gave Soojin a weird look before turning her attention to Steven. âIf you want to come feel freeâ Jinny smiled.
Soojin and Jinny looked around the mall for cute outfits while laughing their butts off. âSo do you like him?â Soojin whispered stopping near the clothing store. âWhy do you care?â She asked walking into the store looking around. âBecause I know how you are when you like guysâ Soojin gave her a look reminding her of her âsituationshipâ back in Korea. âOkay Hajoon and NING were just practice for the real thingâ Jinny tried to come up with an excuse.
Sure Jinny and Steven hooked up last summer and slowly drifted apart but that didnât stop him from trying to come back together. Soojin ended up talking with some old friends with Jinny rolling her eyes. âNext time letâs just go togetherâ Steven whispered into her ear. Why was Steven acting normal but Soojin was acting more weird than usual deciding to leave her there.
Steven and Jinny decided to go get some food and wait for Soojin. âAre you really avoiding me?â He asked turning to her. âNo no itâs just things have become awkward and I didnât know what to do Iâm sorryâ she looked at Steven who gave her a peck on her lips. âWeâre in this togetherâ he smiled. Now it was time for the party, Jinny was wearing a half assed cute outfit and felt worse about her and Steven.
âTry not to get lost or hurt tonight?â Jun yelled from the kitchen. âYes mom I knowâ she left with Soojin heading to the party. Walking into the party, Jinny looked around awkwardly just following Soojin around. âGo hang out with Steven stop hovering over meâ Soojin was half drunk. âWe came together Soojin Iâm making sure you donât do something shitty like last timeâ Jinny warned her. Soojin groaned starting to get annoyed.
âWhatâs with you and controlling my life Jinhee! You get so fucking upset whenever I do something fucking hellâ she got upset. âWhat are you hiding from me Soojin! Tell me nowâ Jinny demanded. âI hooked up with Steven over the summer! Why do you give a fuck? You two werenât officially datingâ Soojin defended herself. Taylor and Belly saw the fight running over.
âAnd yes I do talk shit behind your back. You arenât a great friend after all Jinhee youâre a stuck up bitch wanting attention from boys. You knew I liked Steven and you went behind my back and hooked up with himâ Soojin yelled. âHey! Stop it letâs goâ Soojinâs friend left Jinny by herself. Jinny went over to Steven who was already annoyed with Belly. âYou hooked up with my best friend didnât you?â She asked walking up to him.
âThat was an accident Jin. She insistedâ Steven looked down at her. âWe kissed Steven hell we even told each other our feelings and you go behind my back for this?â She asked with her eyes starting to water. âYou hooked up with Ning over the summer and I had feelings for then but you didnât acknowledge itâ Steven yelled. âYou were hooking up with Shayla and Soojin that makes it even more fucked up Stevenâ Jinnyâs tears brimmed down her cheek.
Before Jinny could leave Steven grabbed her hand. âI thought we were something Steven I really thought we could be together. But something or someone is always testing our relationship I really love you Steven but this canât keep happeningâ she left going to get an Uber.
No matter what happens something always kept Jinny and Steven apart whether it was an issue from last summer or a current issue with a secret nothing was keeping them together. Steven was determined to make things right even if it means to go to the extremes for Jinny.
