Apparently this one was one of the GotY levels? It was alright i guess. i always like when levels loop around back to the start, and there are, like, changes when you get there? i think i almost bricked the level getting the rabbit stuck, so it was lucky i could get back round to the toboggan and get it respawned. i think? it's been a hot minute. i know something got fucky at the end.

i really liked this one. It's got a really nice style to it, and the beefier multiplayer section wasn't quite as obnoxious as that... what was it called? Canon Canyon Blast i think? From the other week? Much more manageable experience here, even if the level overall wasn't as ambitious in its girth or its gameplay.

i don't know why, i'm watching the video right now, and it seems fine, but when i was thinking about the level for this write-up, and my one point of emotional resonance was that it was exhausting? Maybe i struggled wiv it when we streamed it, and that coloured things?

Looking at it now, and aside from the actual speed looking a lot slower than the intended speed, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly wrong wiv it. The rusty aesthetic leaves it looking a bit more drab than i like, but for the most part the presentation is solid. Aside from the signposting being a bit meh at times, it doesn't seem frustrating from a play standpoint. i'll be damned if i know why i didn't like it, but i didn't. Weird. Sorry All-West94, sometimes my brains is a jerk.

It's a tale of two kitties! Where both the kitties are slutty, slutty Paris. Paris is for Lovers is arguably the better of the two here. The lighting choices make for a more legible level, and there's just so much more to it gameplay-wise. On the other hand, the gameplay is very hookshot oriented, and i, as has been established many times, am not particularly good wiv the hookshot. i mean, good enough to actually complete the level, but not enough to pull off the real big swings and jumps that would have allowed me to collect all the prizes. Combine that wiv this being a two part level, and playing them unpubbed means the level link is broken, which means scores don't carry over, which means i couldn't pick up that last score-based prize, and it was a frustrating archiving experience.

Midnight In Paris might be the weaker of the two, but it's still a solid level in its own right. Drawing heavy (and credited!) influence from Paris Is for Lovers it delivers a very similar environment, wiv less demand for precision gameplay. Both of these are fun levels, but playing from your Moon, and MIP is probably the smoother experience.

Multi-level levels were so much easier to play on the old servers where you didn't have to fiddlefuck around trying to figure what levels are part of the series, and getting the edits right in the video so it looks cohesive.

This one is cute, wiv a modding creator as the antagonist, and your getting to play through their level. i really, really liked the look, and the puppet work was nice. The whole thing does start to feel a bit long in the tooth by the end, tho', and i was happy to see it done.

i know it's a bit of a cheat to have a whole series for our LBP3 block, but i'm running the LittleBite-sizedArchive, and i really love Rud's levels, so, neener neener, i guess?

More seriously, i really do vibe wiv the whole presentation style Rud goes for; it's this kinda abstracted, but still realized kinda setting? A bit like Super Mario World? i feel like it was pretty common to see in LBP2, but i hardly saw anyone but Rud working those fields in 3. Really great material choices, solid shaping, good choices in decorations. Just all around delightful.

The gameplay isn't really stretching, tho' there are some new elements added here in 2 and 3, but there is a lot to the levels, and the pace is pretty well-handled throughout. Really good, enjoyable levels to play, not just look at.

Fuck me sideways, but yeah, Summer is definitely here. i checked the temp when i was out this afternoon, and it said it was only 33, but it did not feel it at all. i'm going to have to invest in a parasol for real this year.

Watched the Backrooms, thanks to a generous donation from the Campbell's Foundation, and i enjoyed it well enough. i don't know if i'd put it at the top of my horror movie lists, but it was a good enough time. The make-up work was pretty cool; i wonder how much of it was practical, and i like the idea of the backrooms being a kind of world memory, constantly cancerously replicating itself, and getting a little fuckier each time. Kind of nice that we've reached a point where the guy is actually getting therapy, and that it doesn't work 'cause he refuses to do the work on himself.

I forgot the fucking frame… ok…

Of course I must say I hold no enforcement, as It's never my intention to do so and my deepest apologies if I'm coming off that way.., merely really for the bunch who are interested and are empty handed on what they want to draw as they see this.

Rattie is less of a pain to draw when she doesn't require a huge amount of detail to draw + color.
