This is for the prompt “Hand in Unlovable Hand” @avatar-wtf-weekend , starring Zhao and Long Feng in a post canon AU where the war is over and two of the most irredeemable characters are given a chance for fresh start in their lives far from the root of their own corruption. Here, we have a Bounty Hunter Zhao and a Healer Long Feng finding solace and warmth in each other in a break of a new dawn light.

Honestly, Zhao/Long Feng would be such interesting toxic old man yaoi material. Like think about it.
Both who are overly ambitious in their goals and selfish wants? Biting more than they can chew? Terribly nefarious and rancid middle aged dudes who have beef with teenagers and thus getting their asses and plans wrecked by said teenagers? Are practically considered mere failures or terrible people of their time so much so that so many would despise them down the line of history? That people would only remember them for their foolishly wicked deeds?
Sounds like an impossible match made in hell.
