I finally jumped through the hoops to get my Accutane (isotretinoin) for my staph infection and this might actually be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. They really idiot-proofed this thing.

My skin really started to clear at the end of month 5 and I was ready to be off this medication but my dermatologist said I should really be clear a month before I go off it. So here I am, a few days into month 6! Only makeup is mascara.
holy back pain batman!!!
I’m midway through month 5 and still breaking out. Le sigh. My skin and scalp are so dry, I really want to be done with this medication!
Doubled my Claravis prescription to 80 mg a day yesterday, April 30. Started my second month today, May 1. My lips are starting to split, and crack on the corners 😭. Aquaphor is my holy grail.

Officially starting my second round of isotretinoin, four years later. My start date is March 30, 2020. My acne is mild/moderate so I’m hoping this is a quick cycle. I can’t drink alcohol on this medication so I’ll be interested to see if I lose weight. I normally drink a couple times a week, more with COVID-19 and the Shelter in Place. Right now I’m at 157 pounds.
I’ve been on my new topical routine plus Spiro for 17 days. My skin is clearing up but I am having a lot of dryness on my face and some on my scalp too. I still have comedones and I’m hoping those start to clear up.
10 days on my new topicals (Azelaic acid and Tazorac) and my skin is improved. I’m also taking 100 mg daily Spironolactone.
