Something Iām so sick of hearing in game is āWhy do you type out your characters accent in their native tongue wahhh.ā I seen this so many times, Itās simple. For me.. I read what I type out and I happen to like reading it in Kiefies own voice. She is a troll so I prefer to read it in a troll accent, it has charm and I enjoy it.
Imagine rolling a troll character and seeing all the quest givers speak without their accent. Whatācha want changes to what do you want. Myself and others enjoy seeing the zandali accent, in either languages.
āB-but you wouldnāt have an accent in your native tongue would you!?ā
No.. I loosen up on the accent in zandali just a little for easier reading. But I seen plenty of people who do type without it and they always slip up and do the same in orcish, and of course it loses their trollish charm. Typing in a zandali accent is my default, as with some typing as I am now is.
Why does this piss me off? Because none of these people ever ask the rpers typing this way. I only see it in Trps, and usually typed up in a arrogant way and most likely looming on their mount right next to people rping like this. Very discouraging. It comes off to me as ā This is the right way to rp trolls and accents and Iām judging you for not doing it my way.ā I know some people are actually curious. I just donāt see why itās a thing that needs to be broadcasted, especially when thereās rpers around doing that very thing.
Instead of keeping an easily answered question on your profile while not asking. Hereās most likely your answer.
- I enjoy reading Zandali accents, as it helps breathe life and culture into my character.
- I been rping trolls so much that the accent is my default typing style.
- I want to because I can and I donāt care.
- I do it accidentally and donāt feel the need to train myself to stop and type normally.
Stop asking this question without actually asking!!! A whisper is more respectful than anything.
