Python KOs Z-Man
If you’ve seen any of Python’s matches, it’s easy to forget that his entire gimmick is his big biceps and they’re ability to knockout his opponents. More often than not however, he’s easily defeated and humiliated, with his biceps being nothing more then something nice to look at. Not here. Z-Man feels the full power of those big boys, giving Python a hot moment to dominate and show off his full potential.

Austin Cooper v Z-Man (bgeast.com)
SPOILER ALERT: I highly recommend viewing this match in its entirety before reading this post.
"They never let me forget that all Los Angeles is a jungle!": I've long known that Teen Tycoon of Rock Ronnie "Z-Man" Barzell from "Beyond The Valley of The Dolls" was based on the violently paranoid music producer Phil Spector, but a recent documentary about Specter's murder of Lana Clarkson truly illustrated for me just how much the real man and the character overlapped. It's too eerie that the movie predicted Clarkson's death by decades. Her treatment by Spector's legal team, the press, her supposed friends, and the public at large after her death still rankles me to this day, the documentary making it quite clear that she only accompanied him back to his mansion on that fateful night because she felt guilty about offending him at The House of Blues for both having no idea who he was and mistaking him for a woman. Watching "Dolls" through that lens, Clarkson can be seen occupying the role of Carrie Nations lead singer Kelly who falls under Z-Man's sway, as well as bassist Casey and fashion design Roxanne, both dying in the same manner that Clarkson later would. The documentary features footage of Spector on a talk show -- clad in a Z-Man-ready Carnaby Street suit -- and the ostentatiousness, self-aggrandizement, and over-compensation radiates off of him. At one point, Spector half-facetiously threatens to have the host beaten up by his bodyguards, and you can see fellow guest Eartha Kitt just staring daggers his way, conveying the sentiment "You arrrrrre a rrrrridiculous little monsterrrrrrr!"
