Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965)
Directed by Russ Meyer, this exploitation classic follows three go-go dancers tearing through the desert, led by the iconic Tura Satana, alongside Haji and Lori Williams - women who weren't written to be soft or secondary. They were dominant, dangerous, and completely in control. The loud dialogue, violent feminista energy and bold characters made it a cult classic that still influences filmmakers and fashion aesthetics today.
Right from the jump, this scene throws you into something raw and different. A switchblade snaps open... tight close-ups... chrome, leather, and attitude filling the frame. The camera sits aggressively low, pulling you into the middle of the action - making everything feel larger than life. The energy is gritty, fast, and unapologetic, setting the tone for everything that follows.
