I've been thinking about lack of YtO (younger to older) representation in transage spaces, including symbolism. The current most popular transage symbol, the jellyfish, is a reference to regaining youth. Some people who aren't very immersed in transage culture don't even know YtOs exist and believe being transage is the same as being permanently age regressed.
But I'm a YtO, I don't want to be a kid and don't see myself in symbols that reference youth.
I've been wondering what kind of a creature can symbolize being explicitly old and came up with a dragon.
This isn't meant to be a symbol for just YtOs, any transage person can use it, but it's supposed to center the YtO experience similar to how the jellyfish centers the OtY one.
