In my very first days at at Public School I was deemed .. "outspoken, and poorly so ". "MASTER JOHN . Why you are so content in bastardizing (sic ) your consonants and swallowing your nouns !!" .. It went soon went South. Terms like " crass " and later "incorrigible", soon followed. Initially ostracized for my poor elocution, I later ostracized for it was deemed I seemed to keen on just for having my " knuckles rapped " or being publicly "paddled ". Actually it was all done " publically" at Public school โบ One day Mother adressed this w/ the Head Misteress... " My Johnny' s hands and bottom are always bruised.. She was told " BELIEVE ME , YOUR JOHNNY GIVES MORE THAN HE GETS ! ". Hah ! That night, Dad succintly said " LEAN INTO IT, Son ". He meant this litterally & philosophically.
