But I am tempted. I think I’ll wait until their Crusader Knight orders/rules are available, and maybe their paladins if they ever get models, which I think will take longer since they’re too powerful to make sense for the skirmish format of the game.

At the very least, I think I’ll write up my own little order of crusaders. Specifically, I think they’ll be based on the real world but long extinct Order of Faith and Peace. That order only existed for fifty years as a group of peacekeepers. In the world of Trench Crusade, they could still exist, and with a name like that in this kind of war torn setting, have the contrary sort of ideology that makes them the kind of protagonists I like the most in a grimdark setting: stubbornly iconoclastic in the face of both absolute evil and oppressive forces you’re ostensibly aligned with.
