Garmadon and Wu meet Misako for the first time.

"You see for yourself that we need help,Garmadon!" Maya angrily stood up from her seat.

"Maya is right," Ray stepped in to defend Maya. "If we don't ask someone to give us that information, the Serpentines could seriously revolt, and then..."

Garmadon scowled and interrupted Ray. "And then?" he angrily asked.

"You know what then," Lilly quietly spoke from her seat.

Garmadon defeatedly sat back in his chair. Wu tried to put his hand on Garmadon's shoulder for support, but he pushed it away.

"I'll do it," Wu spoke after some silence. "I'll go ask that girl to give us information if my brother..."

"I won't let you!" Garmadon glared at Wu.

"How do you not understand!" Garmadon angrily stood up and started pacing the room.

"The tense situation between the snakes and the elemental alliance. The snakes are likely following our every move! If they happen to see us asking for help, from a mere civilian!

They will think we are weakened, and then bad things will happen."

"You're exaggerating!" Maya accused Garmadon. "You're just too proud, that's all!"

"You didn't let me finish," Garmadon gritted his teeth. He didn't want to get angry with Maya, but this time she really annoyed him.

"I'll go look for that information myself."

"Good luck!" Lilly muttered to herself and sighed.

The rest of the elemental alliance silently watched as Garmadon packed his things and left.

"I'm going with him!" Wu said after thinking for a moment and quickly followed his older brother.

"Think about it a little more, please!" Wu tried to catch up with Garmadon's quick steps.

"I told you my reasons..." Garmadon shook his head and continued to rush.

"Which don't really make sense, if you'll forgive me for the comment." Wu shook his head.

"Then let me go alone."

"No chance." Wu shook his head.

Garmadon sighed. He knew that help from Wu would be useful, but somehow he felt that he had to do this alone.

"What's the plan?" Wu asked as they entered the empty museum, at first glance.

"We go into that room, look for the lists, find what we need, and go." Garmadon said as if it were all simple.

"We must not enter that room. Wu skeptically looked at the door.

"Are you coming or not?" Garmadon impatiently stepped forward.

"How about we try with that girl after all," Wu tried to get out of trouble. "I mean, Maya said we would get along well with her."

"Stay here, keep guard in case someone comes." Garmadon quietly entered the forbidden room. "I'll go find what we need."

"Fine," Wu swallowed. They could have solved this in a simpler way! He hated it when Garmadon got them into these things.

"Where are you?" Garmadon impatiently searched the room.

"Aha!" He exclaimed happily when he found what he wasn't supposed to.

"Hey!" Garmadon suddenly stood up and clenched the scrolls in his hands.

He contemplated the possibility of running, and then he saw a girl standing in front of him.

"What are you doing here?" She looked at him more confused than angry.

Garmadon blushed a little. He didn't like it when pretty girls interrogated him like that. And this one was particularly beautiful, and not only that, but she also radiated some energy.

"How did you get in?" Garmadon remembered Wu waiting outside the door.

"I work here." Garmadon felt embarrassed when the girl with braids looked at him as if he were stupid. "How did you get in?"

Garmadon simply pointed at the door.

"But it says..." The girl started when Wu entered.

"Um, I apologize for this." Wu looked at the girl, he also seemed a little enchanted. Garmadon felt strangely jealous because of that.

"I'm Wu, this is my brother Garmadon." Wu introduced them.

"Okay,I'm Misako just tell me why you are here without permission."

'Nice name,' Garmadon thought to himself.

"Um, Garmadon didn't want..." Wu started but Garmadon elbowed him so Misako wouldn't notice.

"At first, I didn't want help, but now I would appreciate it if you could be that help." Wu gave him a dark look when he said those words.

"Yesterday I was supposed to give that to Maya, but she said to give it to someone else, so let's say I trust you."

Misako said and started digging through a drawer.

'Maya what?' Garmadon was confused. It didn't matter to him now.

"What exactly do you need?"

"The location of old tunnels under Ninjago." Garmadon began to explain. "We suspect the Serpentine are preparing some kind of rebellion, so it would be useful for us.

And some other things that I believe Maya told you."

'Since when does he share confidential information like that? Wu looked at Garmadon in amazement.

"That's everything." Misako said and handed the scrolls to Garmadon.

"Thank you," Garmadon gratefully accepted them.

"We'll be in touch if we need more help, and I'm sure we will. Of course, if it's fine."

"Of course," Misako mumbled. Garmadon felt like she blushed a little too.

"See you, Misako." Garmadon said and looked at Wu, who still watched his brother's actions with disbelief.

"Let's go, Wu."

Misako bid them goodbye as they left.

Suddenly Garmadon started happily talking about some things.

Wu felt that destiny had begun to write its own, that this was the beginning of great friendships and wars.

Garmaodn and Wu were always forced by TFSM to eat healthy and train. When it came to New Year, they couldn't enjoy themselves like the others.. Misako and Ray decided to help them overcome the mental consequences of growing up like that, but could they disappear?

"Come on, Wu and Garmadon!" young Ray laughed and called the brothers inside.

"Why don’t you want to eat cake with us? It’s New Year’s!" Young Wu and young Garmadon exchanged glances.

"We’re just not in the mood..." Garmadon explained for both of them.

"You must celebrate with us!" Lilly came onto the balcony. "Come on, calories don’t count on New Year’s. It’s not the same without you."

"You don’t understand," Wu said quietly, and everyone looked at them in surprise.

After a few more attempts to persuade them, they finally gave in.

"Where are Wu and Garmadon?" young Misako asked when she woke up at nine in the morning.

"They’ve been running since six," Maya sleepily replied.

"Don’t tell me it’s that New Year, new me thing..." Misako sighed.

"That’s just how they are all the time." Ray clenched his jaw. "You know, they had a strict father. He always pushed them hard about health and training..."

"That’s..." Misako couldn’t find the words to express her thoughts.

"Weird, yes," Ray said. "A bit abusive, but he wanted the best for them..."

~~~One year later:~~~

"Wu!" Ray had been trying to find Wu for a while.

He searched everywhere in the house where they were celebrating, but it seemed Wu didn’t want to be found.

"Found you!" Ray exclaimed when he saw him standing with his head in his hands, sitting in a corner.

"Are you okay?" Ray looked at him with concern.

"No..." Wu said somewhat hysterically.

"Wu..." Ray cautiously sat down next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. He had never seen him like this.

"I ate too much!" Wu gasped. "A piece of cake, two pieces of pizza, and..."

"It’s okay, it’s okay," Ray tried to calm him down. "Why is that such a problem? It’s New Year’s..."

"But my father always insisted that we’d die eating unhealthy," Wu said as he slowly began to calm down.

"Your father hasn’t been around for a long time... And you know that once in a while, an exception doesn’t hurt."

"I know, but..." Wu continued to gasp.

"But what?" Ray gently patted him on the shoulders to help him relax.

"But I can’t help that feeling... Every time I do something like this..."

"You have to pull yourself out of that mental state," Ray hugged him. "I’ll help you, my friend, I promise."

"Thank you," Wu returned the hug. "If it’s possible..."

"Yes, you’ll see."

Garmadon was panting as he checked the time. Eight o’clock, which meant two hours of running...

"Hey," Misako said, and Garmadon jumped.

"What are you doing here?" he said in surprise.

"I tried to get up at six, but I didn’t manage..."

"You were partying until five," Garmadon smirked slightly.

"Why aren’t you with us?" Misako raised an eyebrow. "You and Wu both went to sleep a second after midnight."

"We had to rest," Garmadon sighed.

"Anyway, I got up at seven and have been waiting for you since then."

"You were waiting for me?" Garmadon asked, his heart fluttering at that, but he wanted to push it aside.

"Yes... Didn’t you tell me you hated these morning runs?"

"And I do," Garmadon said as he sat down.

"So why do you do them?" Misako sat across from him. "Especially on New Year’s..."

"I have to," Garmadon rubbed his head. "It’s a mechanism that has really been instilled in us... If I don’t do it, I don’t feel... Actually, I can’t not do it."

Misako frowned and looked at him. "Are you happy doing that?"

"Of course not," Garmadon sighed. "I can’t even enjoy myself... But it’s stronger than me."

"Maybe there’s a way to overcome it," Misako suggested optimistically. "Slowly but surely."

Garmadon looked at her in surprise.

"Do you really think so?"

"I’m sure," Misako said, smiling. "I want to help you with this."

Saying that, she reached out her hand. If anyone else had told him this, he wouldn’t have believed them.

But this was Misako... He didn’t yet know what he felt for her, but he was sure he could trust her.

"I’d be very happy to," Garmadon smiled and shook her hand. "Thank you. But please go back to sleep; you look like you’re about to collapse."

~~~A few years later:~~~

"Okay, these are trial cookies for Maya’s birthday," Misako said as she placed them on the table. "They’re good, but they need to disappear before Maya arrives."

"I’ll get a trash can!" Wu offered, but Misako’s gaze stopped him.

"I think we have to eat them," Ray said. "All of them."

"What?" Garmadon looked at Ray and his fiancée in surprise. "But..."

"Exceptions aren’t always bad..." Wu repeated as he ate a cookie.

"Actually, it’s not hard to get used to this." Garmadon said in surprise, "But I still feel a bit guilty..."

"All of that will settle with time," Ray reassured them.

The old elemental masters, Wu, Garmadon and Misako go on a trip.

"Are we going now?" Lilly sighed as she waited for the others to get ready.

"Here we are." Garmadon replied and came to Lilly and Misako who were waiting.

"And the others?" Misako asked.

"They are getting ready," Garmadon replied.

"Here I'am!" Libber shouted as she carried bags with her.

"Why do you have so much stuff?" Garmadon looked at her confused.

"I'm helping Maya carry things."Libber said and unloaded things into the van they had rented.

"We're going on a one-day trip," Misako gasped. "Not a two-week trip."

"Sorry for making you wait," Maya said, and behind her, Ray carried more bags of things.

"Why do you need all of that!?" Lilly asked in despair.

"If we need anything." Maya shrugged casually. "Medicine, food, spare clothes, more food.."

"I don't think all that will fit in the van." Garmadon sighed.

"It has to!" Maya said decisively. "What if something happens to us, I only brought the essentials..."

"Let's go get Wu," Misako said and pulled a confused Garmadon by the hand. "Knowing him, he's probably meditating."

"Finally, we're going!" Lilly said and started the rented van.

"Wait," Wu said to her. "Why are you driving?"

"I rented the van," Lilly said and started driving.

"Can I drive part of the way?" Garmadon got up from his seat.

"We'll see..." Lilly sighed.

"Amidst all this chaos, I forgot where we're going." Libber shrugged.

"Hiroshima labyrinth." Wu said thoughtfully. "A beautiful place.."

"It also has significant historical meaning," Misako started to say, but was interrupted by Ray.

"Please Misako, not while we're driving." He said in a nauseous voice.

"He's sick of driving." Maya said and patted him on the shoulders.

"Don't tell me," Garmadon said quietly so that Maya wouldn't hear him.

"Here we are!" Wu exclaimed excitedly and was the first to get out of the vehicle. "Beautiful Hiroshima labyrinth."

"It's finally over." Ray said and started to vomit into the nearest bushes.

"Now we need someone who knows the way," Libber pointed out.

"And someone who will carry all of our things.." Maya insisted.

"Who is in favor of leaving the bigger things in the vehicle?" Lilly asked. Everyone raised their hand except Maya and Ray.

"Then it's decided." Garmadon said and started walking.

"Wait a minute!" Wu protested. "Who said you're leading?"

"I've been here the most times." Garmadon insisted and continued to lead them.

"Hey, Garmadon honey.." Misako approached Garmadon who was at the head of the group. "Doesn't it seem like we've been walking a little too long?"

"We've been walking too long." Wu stopped. "Well done, you've lost us.."

Garmadon turned sharply towards Wu, and gave him a sharp look. He was about to say something, but Lilly interrupted him.

"Let's not argue, we need to find a way out, somehow." Maya said.

"Misako, Wu, you've been here. Do you know anything?" Ray asked them.

"No," Misako shook her head.

"Not really.." Wu sighed.

"Shh!" Libber said from a nearby stump.

"I hear something.."

"The ground is a little restless.." Lilly reluctantly noticed.

They all listened intently and were ready for battle.

"Stay behind me," Garmadon whispered to Misako in her ear.

"Oh, don't worry, I can handle it myself," Misako said somewhat offended and stood next to him.

Garmadon made a face at that but didn't say anything to her.

"It's approaching," Ray said tensely.

"Wait a minute!" Libber said and approached.

"Do we think the same?" Misako asked her and came to her.

"What do you mean?!" Ray asked them. "The Stone Widow, the giant Poisonous Icicle,large snake.."

Garmadon shuddered at the last suggestion.

"Oh, just a harmless animal." Libber waved her hand.

"It's just a little monkey." Lilly said when the little monkey came out of hiding.

"Good little monkey." Maya gently approached the monkey. "Where's your mom?"

The monkey stayed around them for a while until they realized it was trying to steal their food.

"Not a good little monkey!" Wu yelled when it started jumping on him.

"He's trying to steal the van keys!" Lilly warned when the monkey targeted her.

"Watch out!" Maya shouted and sprayed the monkey with a stream of water.

"It was a good day." Garmadon sighed and put his arm around Misako.

"Very exciting." Libber laughed.

When they finally sorted out the situation with the monkey and found the right way, they could rest.

"In the end, it's not bad to carry this much food." Lilly laughed as she watched the bags disappearing.

"See." Maya winked at her.

"And we needed it for our new friend." Wu gently stroked the monkey under the chin.

"New best friend, huh Wu?" Ray pretended to be offended. They all laughed at that.

"Too bad we can't take him home.." Misako sighed sadly.

"He'll be better off here." Lilly said and tossed him another banana.

"Um, people.." Maya said and stood up. "It's time to go. I wouldn't want to get lost here again at night and encounter something worse than a monkey."

It took them some time to get ready, but they safely and comfortably reached monastery where they all agreed to sleep.
