When life ‘throws you a curve ball’
There is an old saying that is so true of man’s response to man, “Everyone wants you to do better just not better than themselves.”- (Source: https://www.klifemin.org)
You cannot do better without putting the hard work in. Things happen often out of our control. The CP Diary is there to help us all do better; topics to help us navigate life and to live better lives. Blogs that can help you change the way you see and live your life.
Or instead you may ignore how you feel, your mental health in the hope that you'll never meet with a mental or physical illness, or carry a worry, or concern. But let's be honest, that's not how life rolls.
When life throws you a curve ball it is important to act
Life throws us a curve ball every now and again. It's the nature of what life is. And when life throws that curve ball, you have to be able to act quickly. Our early destructive experiences shape our inner critic and curve balls are inevitable. Those same experiences also colour the way we see the world.
It is important to look back for us to explore how negative experiences in our childhood, go on to shape our current outlooks, particularly when they continue to impact various aspects of our lives. It is important to separate our present views from any damning or damaging experiences, destructive attitudes so that we can strengthen our real self.
We distort ourselves to fit into a perspective
We may spend a lifetime distorting ourselves to fit into a perspective we’re familiar with. It is important to stand back, to analyse our perceptions, to understand when they might be misleading us. Once you do that, you can gently shift your perceptions so that you start to see your world through more honest and compassionate eyes.
No matter your circumstances, or your past, being able to cultivate a positive attitude around your sense-of-self will continue to allow you to connect to your real self, remain impartial and on your own side, which means you’ll be more prepared for those ‘curve balls.’
