in this essay, i will—kidding!

i just want to share my otp/main ship in bts: yoonjin or, some call them, sin. they're the two eldest in BTS, vocalist kim seokjin (JIN) and rapper min yoongi (SUGA). (shout out to yoonjinists/sinners!) i love how dynamic they are when together. they enjoy the complete quiet while they also bicker and laugh a lot. they both relish the same hobbies, as yoongi stated, even though some may think their personalities are quite different from each other. they were roommates for years before their group moved to a bigger apartment, allowing them to have separate bedrooms (besides still roommates jimin and hoseok, as far as i know).

some might ponder: why are you shipping real people? isn't that too much? okay. first of all, in kpop, this occurrence is everywhere. shipping members is normal. shipping to us is not just about romantic pairings—it's more of recognizing the bond that the members have. we love the closeness and overall chemistry of the people we ship. it's like when there are sub units or sub groups: one might delight in the combination of the members of the sub unit when they perform or merely release a new track.

the romantic stuff is honestly just a bonus. for instance, like me, some read fanfics in ao3 and twitter (i have lots of yoonjin recommendation, i may add) for enjoyment. many of us relate to one another when it comes to these things especially in army stan twitter. when the timeline is dead, we turn to fics for our past time. moreover, we also learn a lot from reading fanfics, just like when reading a novel. (i want to also add my thanks to the great yoonjin fic authors out there! your words are magical they change people's lives (mine included) in the best ways!)
