I like the backstory about this character. He reminds me of Chalothon in the Sign. I think there is a parallel to make between the two stories. Of course, when there is reincarnation, you usually find the same tropes.
In fact, the story is similar when it comes to these two characters. In the past, Yod was in love with Khemmika, but she was in love with his brother and didn't want to be with him. Yod was jealous of his brother Wat. In the Sign, Chalothon never accepted that Wansarut didn't love him and preferred to be with Phaya the Garuda. He was also jealous of their relationship.
Khemmika was eventually reborn as Khemjira and in the Sign, Wasarut is reborn as Tharn. They don't have memories of their previous incarnation and both of them were reborn as man in the present time. They share some physical traits with their previous incarnations, but they are different. Their personality are the same. They usually keep the same qualities and sometimes flaws (still remains to be seen in Khemjira).
Their lover are also reincarnated with the same appearance into someone who doesn't really remember their previous incarnations. Granted, I'm not sure Peem doesn't have a few memories. I believe he is the same as Phaya in The Sign. He probably has some memories he can access, but they remain confusing and in this life Peem wants to truly keep protecting the village. So, he may dismiss these memories as they can be a distraction to his goal. Love may not be possible for him, especially with someone who is cursed. That's probably the difference with Phaya who was dreaming of Wasarut all the time and trying to know who she was. He was actively trying to find her.
On the opposite, the rejected man (Yof or Chalothon) is still present and hasn't really change in looks. In addition, they are both determined to be with the reincarnation of the one they love. They always "hover over" them. Yod is haunting Khem, while Chalothon found a way to be always present in Tharn's life. They even think the main character should be with them even though in the past they were rejected by them. They are aware of their love rival being around and they always quarrels with them to oppose the reunion of the fates lovers.
Their quest is in vain because the one they love (or the one they are obsessed with) will never choose them. The way they are pursuing them is wrong and they seem to not accept any refusal. Instead, they think that if they keep pestering them, they will eventually give in and stay with them.
There are some differences between Yod and Chalothon. For ewample, Yod isn't (yet) the main villain who is working against Khem. Chalothon was the true villain in Tharn's story as he made sure the people he loved would die so he would remain alone. In a way, Chalothon is the same as Yod, but also the same as the evil spirit lady (can't remember her name!). He tried hard to win the heart of Tharn, but he also "cursed" his life (in a way) which made Tharn believes he didn't deserve love. In Khemjira, Yod is helping Khem and protecting him from the actions of the evil spirit lady. However, I'm not sure he is truly helping him with the curse. Does he even have this power?
I wonder if there will be more parallels between the two series.
Yod observations
the yod is a rare astrological configuration in a birth chart that comprises two quincunx/inconjunct aspects and one sextile.
also known as the "finger of God" or "finger of fate."
- the Yod in astrology is often found in the charts of people whose lives are colored by intensity and constant adjustment
- what crosses your path often involves some scare, shock, security threat, or some other uncomfortable situation over which you cannot exercise any influence. Strange events simply "happen," often out of the blue — yod bearers just get into situations all the time,
-> therefore I advise yod bearers to not limit themselves by conforming to societal rules, or norms, you as an individual do best when creating your own set of rules (ex.: princess diana)
Diana made remarks about always feeling different, like she was carrying a burden that she was unable to articulate, but always knew was there. Her intuition, she said, told her that life would be a winding road, always feeling separate from others; never feeling in the right place.
That is quite the description of how the Yod in astrology functions in an individual
- a yod bearer mostly invokes their own spotlight, not through somebody else. it is uniquely them in it.
for example, Russian model Irina shayk. Despite being in a relationship with famous Ronaldo and gaining fame through him, she had also been quite prominent before, through her beauty and magnetic hue. she also maintained her own identity and got her own unique spotlight whilst dating him. after dating him, her life and her fame was still about her
Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo’s current girlfriend, gorgeous as well, but it is undeniable that the spotlight she found herself in was through Ronaldo, she is frequently associated with him. The football star is a huge part of her life. this is by no means hate towards her, I’m a huge fan. just a simple observation.
another example of this “spotlight effect” created by the yod aspect in a birth chart is the super famous Brazilian model Adriana Lima, who is arguably one of the most famous if not the most famous Victoria secret angel. in interviews as well as with the opposite sex she receives more fame and attention than her co-models and this is very VERY apparent.
-> it is almost as if the energy of a yod bearers is very potent and distinguished, that the spotlight and attention… good or bad…. Comes very easy to them.
- yod bearers are also characterized by a tough, intense element, a perfect example being no other than Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo's childhood is marked by hardship and loss (like the death of his father for example). in his adult years despite being undoubtedly amazing at what he does, he is a continuous target for hate.
Messi, his counterpart and challenger, without a yod is very rarely the subject of salty talk. usually when he is addressed, it will be in a manner in which he is admired and praised, as Messi oozes this very humble, calm energy. Ronaldo's yod makes him intense and polarizing, the public feels entitled to talk shit.
Another example of this side effect, is the young Spanish footballer Pablo gavi. if you know anything about gavi, it will be that he is the target for hate within the soccer audience. Similar to Ronaldo, he has a very intense aura that is frequently read as arrogance or conceit… however it is important to note that pablo isn’t the talkative type either… yet is often portrayed as unprofessional etc..
- I have noticed that people with a yod in their chart not only possess a distinctive energy about them, as stated above, .. but are also surrounded by a very sultry air. Here are examples of yod bearers :
You know who else died March 15th?
THE YOD ASPECT PATTERN
I know there isn’t a lot of information out there on Yods (AKA- Gods pointing finger, Finger of fate, etc) and I’ve had a heap of requests to make a post on this fairly rare aspect pattern. I plan on going further in-depth with Yods at a later date but for now, this is what I know…
The Yod in astrology is often found in the charts of people whose lives are colored by intensity and constant adjustment.
Yods symbolize patterns in families that have lasted for generations. Carriers of the “Finger of Fate” can also feel insecure or have trouble expressing themselves and they may often find themselves in unusual situations. People with Yods in their chart have a restlessness, like a sense of their unique purpose and a calling to be their authentic selves at any expense.
The discomfort of a Yod tends to manifest more in the mental and emotional realms. Yod people may always feel like some crucial understanding or piece of information is missing—one that would help transcend the irritating sense that things are not quite as they should be.
👉🏼👇🏼👈🏼
If you have one or more Yods in your astrology chart:
You elicit strong, recurring responses from your environment that you don’t understand
Your parents had trouble comprehending you as a child (and as an adult)
You maneuver through intense circumstances that would break other people’s spirits
You experience things “out of the blue” that are beyond general life events
What crosses your path often involves some scare, shock, security threat, or some other uncomfortable situation over which you cannot exercise any influence. Strange events simply “happen,” often out of the blue
Simply put, the role of Yod bearer is to break ancestral patterns. Yods are strange, but also somewhat mystical and fated. Those who have Yods in their birth charts are here to shed light upon patterns that have gone unaddressed for generations. The planet at the top point of the yod is the solution. When the yod is activated you have the choice to make society better or worse and your choice can not be undone. Whatever fate you choose is set in stone. No pressure.
Side note: Yods can also be a health aspect. You have 2 planets in a sextile so they get along really well and then you have the activation point…It is always a sign that is not Compatible with the other two which causes irritation.
Example: Someone who has a very long history of being ill and fighting to figure out what is wrong & why has a yod containing Mars in Aries in the 6th quincunx the sextile planets. Neptune in Scorpio in the 1st and Pluto in Virgo in the 11th. Which Jupiter in Virgo in 12th is in opposition to the Mars in Aries.

While dementia is much more common in older adults, hundreds of thousands of people are diagnosed with young-onset dementia (YOD) each year
While dementia is much more common in older adults, hundreds of thousands of people are diagnosed with young-onset dementia (YOD) each year – and an extensive study sheds some considerable light on why. Most previous research in this area has looked at genetics passed down through generations, but here, the team was able to identify 15 different lifestyle and health factors that are associated with YOD risk. "This is the largest and most robust study of its kind ever conducted," said epidemiologist David Llewellyn from the University of Exeter in the UK. "Excitingly, for the first time it reveals that we may be able to take action to reduce risk of this debilitating condition, through targeting a range of different factors."

Inconjunct/Quincunx Signs & the Yod Configuration in a Chart
When there are planets involved, inconjunct signs essentially form a Yod. In astrology, a Yod, often called the "Finger of God," is a rare and powerful aspect pattern formed by three planets. It resembles an isosceles triangle, with two planets forming a sextile aspect (60 degrees apart) and both quincunxing (150 degrees) a third planet. The inconjunct planet becomes the apex planet of the Yod and represents the focal point of tension and adjustment in a person's life. It is where the energies of the sextile planets converge and manifest in a unique, often challenging way, pushing the individual to address specific issues or life lessons associated with that planet. The apex planet in a Yod serves as a catalyst for personal growth and can indicate a significant life purpose or area of intense focus. The Yod is associated with a sense of fated events, unique challenges, and a compelling need to address a specific purposes or lessons.
