There are various yogas considered in Vedic or Hindu astrology. Important yogas are given below:
There are 5 Mahapurusha Yogas:
In a kendra, Mars is in its own sign or in exaltation.
Result: Brave, arrogant, victorious.
In a kendra, Mercury is in its own sign or in exaltation.
Result: Intellectual, learned, rich, good in commerce and communication.
In a kendra, Jupiter is in its own sign or in exaltation.
Result: Religious, very fortunate, wealthy, righteous, comforts, devotion, etc.
In a kendra, Venus is in its own sign or in exaltation.
Result: Wealthy, loves life, sometimes self-indulgent, good marriage, strong sense of justice.
In a kendra, Saturn is in its own sign or in exaltation.
Result: Makes one powerful, strict, gives authority and leadership. The native is liked by all, equivalent to a king or minister, and can be tough-hearted.
Occurs when Planet A is in the sign of Planet B, and Planet B is in the sign of Planet A.
This yoga occurs when one of the planets participating in the exchange is the lord of the 6th, 8th, or 12th house (dusthana houses).
Generally gives unfavourable influences. The dusthana lord becomes stronger, but the other participating planet gets harmed.
If the 4th lord and 9th lord (or Jupiter) are in angular positions from each other and the Lagna lord is strong, this yoga forms.
4th and 10th lords are together (or the lord of one aspects the other), and
6th lord is in own sign or exaltation.
Result: Learned, beautiful/handsome appearance, disciplined, obedient to superiors, enjoys life, adventurous, good morals, senses under control.
A group of yogas caused by planets being placed around a certain house and/or planet.
Planets (other than the Sun) in the 2nd house from the Moon.
Result: Richness and financial benefits, especially if benefics occupy the house. Malefics reduce or cancel the effects.
Planets (other than the Sun) in the 12th house from the Moon.
Result: Religious nature, especially if benefics occupy the house. Malefics weaken the results.
Planets (other than the Sun) in both the 2nd and 12th houses from the Moon.
Result: Rich, high morals, especially if benefics are involved.
No planets in either the 2nd or 12th houses from the Moon.
Result: Loneliness and a difficult life.
This yoga can be neutralized if:
Moon is in a kendra or trikona house,
Moon is conjunct another planet,
Moon is aspected by Jupiter.
A planet (other than the Moon) in the 2nd house from the Sun.
Result: Riches and status when formed by benefics; problems when formed by malefics.
A planet (other than the Moon) in the 12th house from the Sun.
Result: Spiritual development and intelligence if formed by benefics. Malefics can create difficulties.
A planet (other than the Moon) in both the 2nd and 12th houses from the Sun.
Result: Good fortune, intelligence, strength, eloquence, support from government and superiors, sympathy and helpful nature. Malefics may create troubles.
Dhana Yoga brings material wealth and money because it links the money houses:
1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th, and 11th houses.
Any combination among these houses can create Dhana Yoga, especially involving the 1st house lord.
Formed when the lords of a Kendra house and a Trikona house are:
Result: Good fortune, authority, success, and rise in life.
Formed when the ruler of a dusthana house (6th, 8th, or 12th) is placed in another dusthana house.
Result: Unexpected rise in life through difficulties, problems, or adverse circumstances.
19.Neecha Bhanga (Cancellation of Debilitation)
"Neecha" means debilitated and "Bhanga" means cancellation or reversal.
A debilitated planet gets cancellation under the following conditions:
The ruler of the sign occupied by the debilitated planet is in a Kendra from the Moon or Lagna.
The ruler of the sign where the debilitated planet is exalted is in a Kendra from the Moon or Lagna.
The ruler of the sign occupied by the debilitated planet aspects that planet.
The planet that would be exalted in the sign occupied by the debilitated planet is in a Kendra from the Moon or Lagna.
If the debilitated planet is exalted in the Navamsha.
The dispositor (sign lord) of the debilitated planet gives greater relief if it is well placed.
Raja Yoga occurs only when the debilitated planet occupies a Kendra house; otherwise only the debility is cancelled.
A Yoga Karaka is a single planet that forms Raja Yoga by itself by ruling both:
Taurus Ascendant: Saturn rules the 9th and 10th houses - Yoga Karaka.
Libra Ascendant: Saturn rules the 4th and 5th houses - Yoga Karaka.
Capricorn Ascendant: Venus rules the 5th and 10th houses - Yoga Karaka.
Aquarius Ascendant: Venus rules the 4th and 9th houses - Yoga Karaka.
Cancer Ascendant: Mars rules the 5th and 10th houses - Yoga Karaka.
Leo Ascendant: Mars rules the 4th and 9th houses -Yoga Karaka.
Result: Brings great benefits, even if naturally malefic.
At least two, preferably more, benefic planets occupy the 6th, 7th, and 8th houses from the Ascendant or Moon.
Result: High status, prosperity, fame, comforts, good spouse and children, good health, long life, victory over enemies.
Birth takes place during Shukla Paksha (bright half of the month),
Ascendant lord is in exaltation,
Jupiter is in a Kendra or strongly aspects the Ascendant lord.
Result: Long life, wealth, happiness, courage, scholarly nature, aristocratic tendencies.
Lord of the sign occupied by the Moon joins the Ascendant lord, or
Ascendant lord is in a friendly sign and aspected by strong benefics.
Result: Wealth, fame, authority, comforts, sweet speech, respect from rulers and government.
All planets are placed in angular houses from the Ascendant.
Result: Luck, auspicious activities, eloquence, power, intelligence, wealth, long life.
In exaltation or own signs, and
In mutual angular positions.
Result: High status, rank, wealth, fame.
A benefic planet occupies the 10th house from the Ascendant or Moon.
Result: Philanthropic nature, good reputation, success in social work.
All benefic planets occupy the 6th, 8th, and 12th houses.
Result: Benefics become powerless, causing misfortune and difficulties.
Sun and Mercury are in conjunction, especially in the:
Result: Intelligence and learning.
This yoga is common because Mercury never goes far from the Sun.
If Mercury is combust, talents may be harder to express.
If Sun and Mercury are within half a degree, it may produce exceptional intelligence (similar to the Arabic concept of Cazimi).
Moon and Mars are in conjunction or opposition.
Result: Wealth (often through women), business ability, but may also indicate problems with the mother or questionable means of acquiring wealth.
Planets occupy all four Kendra houses.
Result: Good reputation and fortune, especially when benefics are involved. The energies of the chart become very powerful.
Only natural benefics occupy the Kendra houses.
Result: Comfort, abundance, prosperity, and good luck.
Result: Intelligence, high morals, good fortune, fame, and wisdom.
Moon is in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house from Jupiter.
Result: Fluctuating fortunes, ups and downs in life. Considered opposite to Gaja Kesari Yoga.
Ascendant, Sun, and Moon are in odd signs.
Birth occurs during the daytime.
Ascendant, Sun, and Moon are in even signs.
Birth occurs during the night.
Result: Extremely fortunate, wealthy, respected by authorities, blessed with children, comforts, learning, and victory over enemies.
Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury are placed:
Preferably in the 2nd house.
Result: Learning, eloquence, writing ability, intellectual brilliance, scholarship, and fame as a speaker or teacher. Mercury can provide wisdom.
Lakshmi Yoga occurs when the 9th lord and 1st lord are strong. It becomes especially powerful when Venus is:
Venus represents wealth and fixed assets. There are different versions of this yoga, some including Venus and some not.
Result: Great wealth, prosperity, fortune, and abundance.
Benefic planets occupy the Upachaya houses (3rd, 6th, 10th, and 11th) from the Moon or Ascendant.
Result: Riches and prosperity.
Kennedy had Jupiter and Venus in the 10th house from the Moon.
Two out of three benefics in Upachaya houses from the Moon can produce Vasumati Yoga.
A benefic planet in the 10th house from the Moon or Ascendant forms Amala Yoga.

The placement of planets from each other can also produce strong effects.
This yoga is formed when all malefic planets except Rahu and Ketu are placed in Kendra houses.
Wealth through land and real estate
Ownership of fixed assets
Mars and Saturn are important indicators of land and property.
Benefics in angular houses generally indicate wealth in movable assets, while this yoga particularly indicates immovable assets.
Difficult life experiences
It forms when rulers of Trika/Dusthana houses (6th, 8th, 12th) combine among themselves, or when they combine with the ruler of the 1st house.
Just as combinations of wealth houses create Dhana Yoga, combinations of Dusthana lords create Arishta Yoga.
Suffering may also lead to spiritual growth.
Therefore, this yoga can indicate both pain and opportunities for spiritual development.
It is also possible for planetary combinations to form multiple yogas simultaneously, producing mixed results of happiness and suffering.
A combination of two planets may simultaneously create Arishta Yoga and Dhana Yoga.
Since planets rule two houses (except the Sun and Moon), two planets can even create Raja Yoga and Arishta Yoga at the same time
