I’m always trying beauty products, and as a result, I’m often asked what my favourite products are, so here I’m bringing you “Evangeline’s Edition”, a round up of the current products that I’m obsessed with and give my tick of approval.

SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Wash

As someone with sensitive skin I have to be especially cautious about the body care products I use, body wash in particular. Although not the most glamorous beauty product, it is one that’s a daily essential. The SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Wash is my current go-to body wash and product of choice that constantly remains in my shower. With a soft, “clean” scent, it gently cleanses the skin without any irritation and leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. Enriched with Shea Butter and free of harsh ingredients like sulphates, it’s such a nourishing formula that one could even forgo the body lotion. Somehow this amazing formula even manages to leave beautiful, subtle glossy glow to the shoulders and legs.

Yes To SnapStick Charcoal Face Mask

It’s not very often that I get this excited about a product (especially since I try so many) but the Yes To Tomatoes SnapStick mask is easily one of my favourite beauty launches of 2018. Packaged in an easy to use stick, this charcoal face mask can be applied in just 60 seconds without any mess (no messy fingers or face mask brushes needed) the mask dries within 10 minutes, deeply cleansing and helping to draw out impurities from the skin. It has quickly become a must-have in my skincare routine and a part of my weekly ritual. With a face mask this easy to use available there really is no excuse not to give your skin a bit of a treat, it’s so foolproof you could even apply it without a mirror.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter

On days when I can’t be bothered with a full face of makeup, but still want to give my skin a little pick me up I tend to reach for a light reflecting, illuminating primer (Laura Mercier Radiance Primer is my ultimate fave) Recently I’ve been loving the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter which rides the line between an illuminating primer and a tinted moisturiser. The formula contains high amounts of ultra-fine, pearlescent shimmers which give a really beautiful ethereal, lilt-within look which is subtle enough to be worn all over the face. It smooths and blends over the skin with absolute ease, blurs imperfections, and hydrates without looking greasy or overly shimmery.  Use it as a primer, a highlighter, or mixed in with foundation (this plus the Magic Foundation is a dream combination)

Reviews: —————————— •Yesto tomatoes charcoal peel off face mask: I only used this once but my face felt super smooth after using this. I will say though that you have to use a thick amount for it to peel off in one go. In places where it’s thin it becomes so hard to peel. Didn’t see a change in my acne but I only used it once so I might need to use it again, but I didn’t like how radiant and soft my skin was. 7/10

•Olay Regenerist Whip Moisturizer: This moisturizer is heaven. It moisturizes my skin so perfectly and isn’t too tacky or heavy. It absorbs really fast but doesn’t leave you feeling dry. My skin looks so radiant and glows after using this. I will be repurchasing the larger container. I only wish it didn’t come in a jar. Like it’s aesthetically pleasing but so unsanitary. 9/10

•Yesto Grapefruit Vitamin-C booster: The vitamin-C in this makes my face look so bright and alive! I can’t explain it. I go from looking like a zombie to the best skin ever!! It makes my skin look plump and glows. The only thing is that it is super runny. It’s basically water in a tub which means it comes pouring out every time you tip it upside down. I can deal with that though considering how much brighter my skin looks with this. 10/10

•Yesto Blueberries Recharging Greek Yogurt Probiotics Sleeping Mask: This not only smells amazing but makes my skin feel so smooth in the morning. I wake up and my skin looks smooth, pore less, and oil free. I only use this like twice a week or when my skin is starting to look dull or when I’ve had a long day at work. I wake up with such soft skin. 8/10

Spa Day At Home

You have worked hard all week and now is the time for you to relax a little bit. You don’t need to spend a lot of money at spa because you can have one of your own at home. So put your hair in a bun or pony tail and just enjoy your spa day at home.

Here’s what you need:

1. Clean Towels Clean towels are a must for dry up your skin between steps. 

2. Bath Robe It is nothing better than walk around in a bath robe on your spa day. Don’t worry If you don’t own a bath robe, because bath towels works just fine.

3. Candles  Make use of candles to set the mood. You can use scented candles or you can buy the unscented ones and add essential oil for a nice aroma. 

4. Face Scrub Brighten your skin and remove dead skin with your favorite face scrub. Many drugstore brands (such as St Ives, L’Oreal Skincare) provide face scrub that suits your needs.   You can also create your own face scrub if you don’t own one. The main ingredients that you need to create your own face scrub are sugar and coconut oil or honey. To get more from your scrub and make it a little bit fancy, you can add either mint, grind coffee, essential oils or grind rose petals. 

5. Lip Scrub Now is the time for you to scrub your lips. Scrubbing makes your lips soft and plump. You can buy a drugstore brands (such as ELF Exfoliator, Milani cosmetics ) or you can create a lip scrub of your own. The main ingredients for lip scrub are sugar and honey or coconut oil. You can turn your lip scrub fancy by add cucumber, grind coffee, or essential oils. 

6. Bath Time Take a warm bath to relax your mind and body. Turn your bath water amazing by adding fresh rose petals, bath bomb, Empson salt, or essential oils.

7. Face Mask Now is time to calm your skin with face mask. You can add the mask during or after your bath time. Again you can buy a drugstore brands (such as Yes to, Freeman, and Shea Shea Bakery) or you can create face mask of your own. 

8. Eye Mask Relax you eyes and reduce puffiness during your face mask. You can buy drugstore brand (such as ELF Hydrogel Under Eye Mask, Yes To Cucumbers 2-step Eye Kit ) or you can make use of tea bag or slice of cucumber.
