Possibly the longest longfic fic I have ever read

also possibly one of the best long fics ever read? tbh i always say that. ignore me.

TLDR; i read this fic maybe over a year ago, and it hit me a couple weeks ago like SHIT what was this fic again? I indeed started having flashbacks of memories and moments of this fic and I was like “damn. that was a really good fic. I need to reread it.” SO I DID 

BUT I COULDN’T REMEMBER THE LINK FOR IT. I COULDN’T FIND IT EITHER CUZ I WAS SO SURE THAT I FOUND IT OFF AN EXO FIC REC SITE. SO I HAD TO ASK AN EXO FIC REC SITE AND I DID. AND THOSE ANGELS FOUND IT A WEEK EARLIER THAN EXPECTED LIKE BLESS YOU-- I really appreciate you guys. my true saviors. I now understand why these services exist and I just don’t know how you guys do it! (it was fy!exofanfics) ILY GUYS SO MUCH <3 --tbh you know it’s a good fic when you remember so many scenes of it- for the most part. I remembered too many details--

BUT ANYWAYS LAST WEEK.

“you never go into a story the same way twice”?

*’second time around’ ...or something like that  anyway- you get the point.

I distinctly remember the first time around loving this so, so much and just having such a passionate view about the story. The second time around, however, was more chill. I still love this fic so, so much, but I noticed more things, different things that I’ve never seen. Connotations, actions, things that I wouldn’t have caught before. 

It’s really eye opening. 

Now i’m not telling you to read this twice LMAO i just really like this fic. 

THE FEELS ARE RELATE-ABLE.  

It is s u p e r relate-able in the eyes of Baekhyun and it’s amazing. 

Commendable attribute: dialogue the way the author just carries out the dialogue. not the style per say, rather the content talked about and its execution. it was very wise. it was a very much realistic content. like these are conversations definitely talked about in real life. those deep convos that get to you- the life lessons, the learning. It’s very realistic and I noticed that my second time around. it was really amazing to me probably because it’s so complicated like I can’t think of shit like that myself. To me, that itself makes this author a very good writer.  I know i’m being vague on this, but if you read the fic, you’ll understand what I’m trying to say.

QUICK FIC STAT: Title: More Than Meets The Eye Pairing: chanbaek Length: over 66k (get your booties ready for a loooooong ride tbh) Tags: romance, a slice of life, [hidden-vampire!au] dothirsty’s tearjerker meter: 2 (this fic was not meant to cry for, but there were frustrating moments with baek that I just felt so well that I ended up tearing up a bit)

Have you read Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff yet? I loved it so much and it’s got a format that I haven’t seen in a lot of books yet (kind of an amalgamation of transcripts, emails, military files, etc.)
