I fucking HATE travelling with my dad.

For context, I came back from a 10 day trip to India with my mom on March 4th, and it went very well 10/10. Last year in 2025 I went with my dad and sister for 14 days, that shit was HELL. My dad has zero concept of boundaries and LOVES letting relatives walk all over us.

my dad: → lets relatives say what they want about my weight and laughs with them → basically lets people skinny shame me → makes a stupid ass face whenever I wanted to go out and eat as if fucking naan isn't $0.015 converted into CAD → party pooper → forces us to go to relatives houses where we do not want to go → just generally lets people do whatever tf they want → a victim blamer if you will

my mom: → DOES NOT PLAY ABOUT HER KIDS → was saying hi to all her side of the family, some auntie said "you should leave her with me for a month. I'll fatten her up" my mom then replies "so you can shame her for being fat later? I don't think so, sis" → Yeah my mom used to skinny shame me to but she has learned her lesson and no longer says anything about it nor does she let anyone else say it :) → went out with my cousins and I to eat from outside cuz we was on vacay and that's what we were there to do :) → if I didn't wanna go somewhere I didn't have to and would stay home :)

yeah i know this shit seems childish asf but my dad has just been so shitty lately. Makes me wonder why I had mommy issues and not daddy issues. this man is a piece of shit. Or maybe my mom is actually willing to learn and get to know her kids better while all my dad ever talks about is the past and how I used to eat eggs and he'd make me omelettes when I was a baby(I have not eaten eggs in over 15 years).
