23: a hobby you tried but didn’t stick with?

oh i have SO many of these. but i think the one that i kinda wanna get back to, but probably won't, is playing the lute!

i used to play d&d an awful lot, and my favourite character was my tiefling bard, sae. she played a lute, and i was obsessed with her for a little bit, so i spent a lot of my time trying to learn how to play using tutorials online. i could play To Zanarkand and Huntress's Lullaby off by heart, but i didnt have the patience to actively learn musical notes and so my interest tapered off 😔 fun while it lasted though!

29: share an adventure you went on?

immediately had every adventure I've ever been on depart from my head...

the worst adventure i ever went on was when i lost all my money in denmark on a work trip. i didn't eat or drink for an entire day and i was too embarrassed by the whole thing to ask for help. wild!

🦗Do you write in sequence or jump around?

💪What motivates you to write?

💻 What do you write your stories on? Laptop, phone, paper, etc.

All of them? Okay… not equally… but I like drafting the idea or main plot points on paper. Most of the writing I do on phone (cause honestly, I’m a slow writer, if I only write at home using my laptop, I’d update twice a decade lol… but once a year is a solid bet) and editing I do on my laptop.

Gotta say that writing on my phone is def terrible for tendinitis.

🦗Do you write in sequence or jump around?

Jump around. I don’t think I’m capable of doing anything in sequence. I don’t even do stuff in sequence for work (where I supposedly should) let alone for my hobby. People who work with me tend to go crazy over it. My students HATE how sometimes I grade the activity they did last and not the one they finished WEEKS ago.

Besides, what’s the fun in that?

💪What motivates you to write?

Being hyper fixated on an idea? Honestly, Idk. Comments and engagement maybe? But I think that’s just part of it. I’ve lost interest in a story that had over 1k comments, so although they DO motivate me and I love getting them as much as the next person, I think they alone are not enough to keep me motivated to keep writing a story.

So I think I’ll settle on HAVING FUN. If I’m having fun writing, it doesn’t matter if I’m writing for a crowd of one or dozens of people, I’ll keep writing regardless of how many people show up to interact with it.

Favorite book you read this year?

damn... i really did not read much at all this year (this is on my resolutions list... i want to read at least 6 books next year), but I did read The Heart in Winter by Kevin Barry and i really, really enjoyed that. lovely setting and atmosphere, i really liked the tone of that book, too... somehow irreverant while also being painfully sincere. it worked really well, somehow. anyway... i recommend if you like a poetic, Western love story!

Honestly, it's been soooo long ago!!! But let's go. I was perhaps 10 or 11 and spending a few days during the vacations with my godfather. It's winter here in July and that year it rained a lot (which is not the norm around here in winter). His cable TV only worked like... 2 oe 3 channels and we had as an option watch The Fairly OddParents, which we did (I do remember most episodes to this day), some movies that were absolutely NOT to my age (but who cared about that in the early 2000?) and Star Wars. So... I think the first media I actually watched was Return of the Jedi and I thought it was pretty cool. Then we went back to watch all the other movies. From the OT, I think ESB is impressive, but ANH will always have a special place in my heart. What a fun movie!!!

💎 How do you feel about the first fanfiction you ever wrote and posted?

I mean... it was a fanfic for MCR and I was 12... so I thought obviously it was good but it was actually trash! In any case, I still have some fond memories of it, because it put me in the path to keep writing fanfics. I mean... we'll gotta start somewhere right? And sometimes, it will be bad haha

🥺 - Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Mentioned barest of touches, but also love it when people sit down and eat/drink together. There's something really intimate about it, almost like a trust exercise. It's even better when the character has made something for others. Idk! I just like it and I like including it!

💖 - What made you start writing?

In general, it was just because I wanted to see more f/f stories for my favorite characters. For Andor, it was because I wasn't entirely happy with S2 (which might be the understatement of the century) and I wanted to explore the universe on my own terms. And I'm glad I did, because I've made some life-long friends through it!
