Triad of Maturity

Three things allow the harvest to remain fruitful:

The balance that preserves,

The mastery that brings fulfillment,

The purification that renews.

At Lughnasad, the harvest continues.

The work of the hands becomes more precise.

Abundance no longer depends solely upon strength,

but upon the rightness of every gesture.

The Poet Wanderer crosses the second gate of the First Harvests.

The gate where skill becomes wisdom.

Three plants appear along the path.

Wild Fennel.

Yarrow.

Burdock.

Wild Fennel brings harmony to living forces and restores their natural flow after effort.

Yarrow teaches mastery of the hands, precision of craft, and the patient fulfillment of every task.

Burdock purifies what has accumulated, allowing life to remain clear and ready for the next stage of the cycle.

so that the fruit of this season may already prepare the harvests yet to come.
