🐍 POV: Draco Malfoy

Let me make something clear. 

I didn’t fall in love with her because she was powerful. I didn’t fall in love with her because she saved the world—again.

I fell in love with her because she stood in front of it, shaking, exhausted, and still said, “Let me try.”

The Ashborne Stone didn’t stand a chance.

Neither did I.

And honestly? Thank Merlin for that. She ruined my silence. She ruined everything I thought I needed—and gave me something better.

🪞POV: Hermione Granger

If someone had told me I’d become the vessel for an ancient, sentient magical relic bent on forcing the world to choose between rebirth or ruin... I would’ve laughed. Then cried. Then made a spreadsheet about it.

But I didn’t get to prepare. I didn’t get to plan.

I just had to be.  Raw, uncertain, afraid, and still moving forward.

The Ashborne didn’t want perfection. It wanted conviction. It didn’t care if I shattered. It only cared that I stood. 

Forged in the first age of wands, bound by blood and will—The Ashborne waited.

I don’t know what the world will become after all of this. I only know I chose it with open eyes and open hands.

And Draco stood beside me…not out of debt or guilt, but choice.

And somehow,  that was enough. 

At the coffee shop we all agreed to meet at.

With the diluted iced chocolate coffee sitting by my side, it doesn't really taste as good as when I bought it two hours ago. The ice has melted, the chocolate formed clumps in the bottom of the cup, and my hands are sticky from how hard it was to put the messy lid back on the cup.

It's raining a lot outside... I don't have an umbrella.

It's a beautiful sound. Even if you snort so loudly, slap my back so hard I stumble a bit, or even if people look at us weirdly...
