@beaniesayshi created a fanfic/stories/writing track app and my life is now very beautiful pretty amazing spetacular because I can visualize what's up in a way that makes my brain feel less cluttered. I can see the chapters that are ready, the ones I'm reviewing and editing, the complete pieces, the complete series, the ones on hiatus, everything clearly. It has filters and colors and you can basically edit everything every status every label to fit what you need.
because like this is so fucking fire 😫 also yes i need to draw and write on things in order to understand and explain them so don't @ me okay IT WORKS
Organized. Flexible. Comprehensive.
Cast lists. Timelines. Big reveals.
A hundred moving pieces. One story taking shape.
DESCRIPTION:
This Google Doc is fourteen pages, but it can be expanded to as many as you need! Just copy and paste the various entries to cover all of your tracking goals! This is sort of a multi-muse doc, though I'd say it's a bit more like a writing overview. It delves into your project, the main protagonists/antagonists, side characters, and a calendar of events to keep it clear what happens when. I do think the pages/titles could be pretty easily changed to track other things though! I tried to keep it neutral and clean to keep the pages from getting too busy even when there's a lot of info packed into them. I hope it'll help you maintain a bit of order while also providing a nice overview for you (or people you show it to)!
Complexity Level: So, due to the fun shapes of the images, they're all "housed" in the Drawings function. But I've tried to make it as easy as possible by almost always putting everything on the same drawing per page, to limit having to click around and such. So you'll be able to edit the text from any mobile app pretty easily, but the design, colors, and images will have to be done on a desktop of some kind.
Page Order: General cover page, project overview, main character cover page, main character pages (x2 per each character, can copy+paste as many as you want), side character cover page, side character pages (x1 per each character, can copy+paste as many as you want), events cover page, and event pages (x1 per each month, can copy+paste as many as you want).
PINNING DOWN THE POINT OF EVERY PLOTOrganized. Flexible. Comprehensive.Cast lists. Timelines. Big reveals.A hundred moving pieces. One story

Hi everyone 👋 I’m Pamela, Writer Development and Community Lead at Novlr!
Let me introduce us!
Novlr is a writing workspace designed to get you from the spark of an idea to a completed first draft without any distractions. We're all about putting writers first and making sure you get words on the page.
Our app is completely free to use for up to five projects, to make writing accessible to more people than ever before. We're also the first creative writing platform to be writer-owned. That's right! We're owned by the writers who use our platform.
What makes us special?
At Novlr, we put your writing goals at the centre of everything we do. No matter what those goals look like, from words on the page to landing that publishing deal, we're with you every step of the way, working with you to build the features you need to get you there.
We're a writing workspace that cheers you on as you write. Our success nudges will keep you motivated as you reach your milestones, and goal and streak tracking make it easy to see how much progress you're making.
And for those who need the extra detail, our paid plans also include advanced writing analytics that will help you learn all about your writing habits, like when you’re most productive, and help you get the most out of your writing time.
Want to learn more? Just visit us at Novlr.org!
With Novlr, you can achieve your writing goals. Built by writers and owned by its writing community, Novlr helps you progress along every st
These were inspired by @letswritesomenovels's monthly writing goal tracker here!
However, this basically replaces nanowrimo style tracking, which is fine, but I don't do that anymore. Since I don't set goals for myself, and I rather do it monthly rather than daily, I decided to make one myself.
However, I know most people do set goals so I have included multiple versions.
There are THREE versions: yearly tracker with goals, yearly tracker without goals, and a lifetime tracker.
All of them have formulas embedded so all you have to do is type in your goal (if you have one) and monthly word count (or whatever measurement you go by) and the rest will auto-populate.
All tables and charts are fully customizable. I have a few notes/hints in the template if you're not sure how that works.

The template isn't editable, so go to FILE > MAKE A COPY to keep one for yourself that you can edit.
Behold! If you participate in writing bingo card events, then this tool is for you! Allows you to keep track of prompts, drafting and posting status, and word count for each bingo card. Simply click "Make a Copy" in the File menu and you're ready to start recording!
I will probably be working on a readers' version of this at some point. So if you're interested in that, stay tuned!
If you're not familiar with spreadsheets, adding bingo cards might be a little intimidating because you have to edit complex formulas. But! I have added instruction notes (they're the cells that have little black triangles in the corners, just hover over the cell to see it). Please ask if you have any questions or the instructions are unclear.
(Forgive the Sailor Moon .gif and colors. I did make this with my favorite server in mind and we use a lot of Sailor Moon imagery. If you'd rather a different celebratory .gif, get the url from your favored .gif site and click on the Options button in the top right of the Sailor Moon .gif. There should be a "Replace Image" option there. It may make your sheet spacing a little wonky, but adjusting the size of the row it sits on top of should resolve it.)
