My favorite thing about Tumblr polls is that I can use them to quell my internal debating by putting the majority of my decision-making process on literally anyone else.
I've started a Bio Dad AU that involves a good bit of backstory and a lot of twisty turns that have required me to do a lot of plotting. It's getting really convoluted at this point, and I'm thinking I would really like to make it a No Powers AU as well. But I also feel bad about leaving out the powers (Even though I ADORE reading No Power AUs!)

Seize the Light thoughts
Big weekend for writing! I’m at 230,000 words now and have three chapters to go. I’m going to finish this really soon!!
For those of you looking at that word count in a “whaaaaaaaaat? How does that many words fit into a Star Wars movie novelisation?” way, the answer is that it’s complicated. 😅 Thanks to one of my beta-readers I worked out today that if I’d planned things/ TFA had ended slightly differently, I’d have been able to start the fic’s theme** plot, timeline wise, from about where Chapter 17 currently is.
Theme plot = one of the major plot arcs of the fic that does not revolve around a single character’s arc but is supported by several characters together.
If this was a “real” novel, this would be the time where I’d need to gut the first half of it, I guess. But as this is a fanfic, and I’d like to actually start posting it sometime this year, I’m just going full speed ahead with the current plan. Even if I am kind of curious about how a revamped start-at-Ch.-17 STL would look like...
Release date is still May 4th, 2022.

one thing i remember really liking about the third Pirates of the Caribbean film was how Jack Sparrow held onto a grudge against Elizabeth for that Judas Kiss incident at the end of the second film, but as a character point rather than a motive.
he wasn’t driven by this grudge, not like the Barbossa one, but he wasn’t about to just forget having been betrayed by a friend professing false affections, either.

Hey this is not an ask, sorry if it's bothering you, I just wanted to say that I noticed that in the end of of every chapter of your fan fiction the falcon and the winter soldier you use the word "Buckaroo" !!!
No, no! You're fine! Not a bother at all! Yes, I do. I started out on accident, but, I actually have a really good friend who's parents call him Bucky, but everyone else calls him by his actual name. I'm the only one allowed to call him Buckaroo, so it's just something I put in because of that. A lot of the relationships of these characters are built off of what I've seen with friends and family. Along with, of course, canon behavior as seen in the movies/show.

Gonna write a haunted house story but from the ghost's perspective. Don't know if the ghost if aware of being dead or not (and weather or not to revival right away). Any additional ideas?
If you’re not sure about which direction to take I think I’d suggest that you try to plan out what would happen in all the cases. It doesn’t mean you have to come up with the full outline of each possibility but just take a moment to think out how the story would begin if the ghost does/n’t know they’re a ghost and when you reveal what they are. Think about what you can do in either case and what kind of effect that will have on the character and the reader. For example, I would imagine that a character who doesn’t know they are a ghost and finds out during the course of the story would behave much differently than one that has been trough the shock already and is an old pro. Both have great potential but could be very different stories. I hope that helps :)
