How tired are you?
I just called my MC deadful instead of deadly.
Peace out, my sleep-deprived authors.
I hate when I get frustrated at something I'm writing. It doesn't accomplish anything. If it did, I could've published ten novels with the amount of times I've thrown something at the screen yelling, 'Just fall in love, damn you!' when my characters don't do what I want them to.
Are you the one facing this issue😜 #author #authorlife #writingcommunity #writermemes #authormemes #swetasamota #memes https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch3r8oHrE3K/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

So, are you normal, or do other authors sometimes think about the characters in their WIPs and just get so... happy?
Like, you're just filled with such love for the potential this character has, iconic scenes that your brain thinks up on a whim and then forgets (and never makes it to the page) - you listen to audios from edits and can imagine what one might look like. And as you're feeling this genuine elation thinking about these characters, their relationships, you realise you're not thinking about a movie or a book that stuck with you, to the point you delved deeper into the fandoms, unable to get it out of your head. You're thinking about the people you created, the relationships that maybe haven't started yet - they belong to you. You wrote them. You created them.
And then the realisation hits that yes, you created them, so, oh crap, I should probably put my phone down and actually write for once.
Just me? Okay.
Yeah, she's probably sick of being stuck in her mental breakdown. It's like writers are in a toxic relationship with writing. Like we love it so much, and it loves us back. But acts like a moody distant jerk a lot and UGHH!
