Do have any cute names? My main character is 24 year old woman with two cats. She lives in New York. I'm writing a ROMANCE~ novel if that helps any
Any name is cute ;P
Even if you aren’t sold on any of the name ideas I give you, you can try using a nickname!
Penelope (Penny is a super cute nickname)Elizabeth (Lizzy, Beth, Eliza)Mary/Mimi/MiaLily/LiliannaRosa/Rose/Rosalie Susanna (Sue, Anna, Zuza)Brooke/Bea/BelovedCoralin/KarenAaliyah/Alina/AliceElla/EssenceHoney/Habibah/HalianaJamara/JuneNyla/NoaSara Eve/SummerWinnibelle Yvelle/Yuna
Another good thing to try is to research popular names in the year your character was born. So if your novel takes place in 1921, I’d expect to meet characters named Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret, Anna, & etc.
If you want your character to stand out more, give them a name that ‘doesn’t fit’. Winnibelle sounds like a cute name for a girl in the 1890s. Giving it to a 21st century girl gives your character an old-world girlish charm.
