2017.12.29 studyblr, I’ve been neglecting you terribly! My film program in LA called for very little in the way of “studying,” but on the right, at least, are some character diagrams from the script I wrote that was produced into a short film. I’ll have lots more time to spend with ya in January! Till then, happy new year!
hey friends, It's been so long! I've been in LA working on a short film and studying screenplay writing for a semester and I DIG it. Any film majors/grad students out there?
２０１７年９月１０日 >>>>Greetings from the LA Film Studies Center in West Hollywood! Updates: - Classes and all are going so well! Challenging classes, great professors, classmates are a blast (only 23 of us; crazy right?) - My first screenplay EVER was voted in as one of two projects to go into production this fall! It'll be a 10-minute, bilingual short film about a Japanese-American man trying to fill his deceased father's shoes. This project, and the one my crew is working on (cool spy film!) are starting pre-production this week! - I have a professional screenplay writing concentration this semester, for which I have to complete a feature length spec script. Above is the outlining work I did yesterday ♡

2017.6.3>>>What keeps you motivated at the end of the school?
1. Supportive friends. A caring, encouraging community has been so key to my success. Whether it’s emergency coffee, or a hug, or a few kind words.
2. My professors and academic advisors. They treat me like a human, and push me to see value in my work when I lose sight of my ambitions. And they remind me of how much I love what I do.
3. Coffee. Good god, coffee.
２０１７年８月１０日 >>>>Accidentally bought another pen at a Japanese stationery/bookstore yesterday. Uni Style Fit. 0.28, can I get an amen???? And that CLEAR BODY. Excuse my 外人 handwriting but I love this pen way too much. LOL. also!!! My homiiiieeeeees! I have one week left of summer vacation. </3 While this means I won't have as much time to translate manga for you (trying to have 2 more out before I leave), I'll have cool stories to tell you from the heart of Hollywood!
