Why are we told, “Do not worry about your life” in Matthew 6:25?

Another restless night. Lucy tossed and turned and wandered, the poor dear. I wondered if she knows how frequently she walks or if it makes her tired. It wakes me as I am a very light sleeper but I hesitate to tell her. She will feel awfully guilty about it even though it is not within her control. Besides, it is not as if it is the only thing that keeps me awake. That letter from Jonathan, I cannot help but to keep it, to read it over again, searching for a message within the message. Of course I find nothing.

By a few years

To-day I worried. Too much most likely but with the only letter I have received from Jonathan being cropped and emotionless I struggle to believe it is all well as he claims it to be. Not only do I worry for him but also for Lucy as she has been sleepwalking again as of late. It must be well with her though as she seems perfectly happy. It is possible the Mrs Westenra’s anxiety clouds my mind. I will lock the door at night and all will be well. How can it not be in the most beautiful place on earth? I must allow the salty air to steer my focus towards the sea and away from all the muck in my head.
