And his eyes practically narrowed to slits at how he glared at Logan, "Petty?"
His tone alerted the two who stood between them.

All three heads turned.

"I made this call for the good of the team." Logan reiterated, jabbing his finger in his direction.
"Did you do this to get back at me?"
They all went quiet.

His expression shifted.

"Did you?" Dean repeated, chest heaving.
"No!"
Dean shook his head and scoffed, "Sounds believable."
He turned on his heel.
And Garrett and Tucker almost sighed in relief.
But then Dean turned around, storming back in Logan's direction.
And instinctively, the two guys straightened up.
Dean did not appear calmer.
Far from it.
He looked exhausted.
"You know what, let's talk about this. No yelling, no shouting, no holding us back because I'm not gonna swing on you." He glanced at their best friends who still didn't move from their positions. And fortunately, they did, because Dean finally admitted, "I was in love with Sidney."
Garrett's shut his eyes in annoyance.
Tucker stared at Dean in disbelief.
Logan's eyes widened.
His chest rose sharply.
Then his expression contorted to a burning scowl, "I fucking knew it."
"And I think she shared those feelings." Logan felt physically pained by Dean's assumption. "No, I know she did, but she convinced herself otherwise, because we agreed at the beginning it would be a good time, not a long time." His voice trembled though he held his gaze. "Until her feelings got too strong and she cut me off." The memories flitted through his mind like torture, and although he tried shaking them off, he couldn't. "It broke me, but I kept up the act like I was fine. I started hooking up with girls who meant nothing to me because that was the only way I could get over her."
"But you didn't."
"I did. I managed to, until you said she was with you."
Dean's confession ripped through the house.
They all looked at him, clinging to his words.
Logan, in particular, despite wanting to block out his ears.
"And before you said I wanted her back, I didn't, because she was happy with you. Is happy with you. And I was happy for you, even though it made me hurt and confused." It had fucked Dean up. And all he could do was watch, quietly grieving a relationship that could never blossom. "So I kept it to myself, hoping those feelings would go away, but they didn't. So I had to ask her, but I didn't know you'd be there. And had I known, I wouldn't have come. Because I would never do anything to hurt you. Not intentionally."
His shoulders set into a severe line.
He had been wanting to apologise for how his and Sidney's past was revealed, and had been trying to make amends, despite the hurt and aggression shown during practice.
He had missed Logan.
Dean’s shoulders slacked when his gaze turned wistful, "But this... I specifically told you not to reach out to Hunter, and you did."
Logan's stomach twisted with guilt.
His anger deflated, and his gaze dropped past him.
He knew this decision wouldn't be taken lightly, nor by anyone, especially not Dean.
But he wouldn't accept the accusations.

But then he turned back to Dean with a hollow leer.
"And I told you it wasn't personal. I did it because of the team, not you. And because I have too much on the line, for your personal shit to get in the way."

He blinked, stunned by the flat response he received, after tearing his heart out and leaving it for all to see.

A breathy and bitter laugh escaped him.
He nodded and swallowed deeply.
"Good to know," he uttered.
He turned on his heel, leaving the guys to watch him trudge upstairs.
"Dean," Tucker called out.
He followed behind him.
Garrett turned around to blankly stare at his best friend.
Logan stood in silence, hands shoved into his pockets, ready to hear his rebuttal.
"I'm happy you and Watkins are good again. But you're the captain now, so fix it." Garrett lowered his voice, "You better do it quick. And acknowledge that you may have made this call for the team. But you did this to get back at Dean. We all know you did."
Before Logan could get any words out, Garrett strolled into the kitchen, leaving Logan rooted to the floor by the door, before his gaze fell completely.

It feels like they were aware they’d given Cleo nothing, so that’s why she was constantly plucked away from the group so she had space to be herself (if I were to give a good faith reading). But if I were to be more critical, it felt downright nasty the way she was thrown in jail and deported twice, while the pogues really didn’t seem to gaf (apart from Pope). And she had to hitchhike by herself all the way back to Kildare the first time around :( ??!! Idk the thought of that just makes me upset. And looking at the way immigrants are treated in the US right now, and considering the dubious political backgrounds of the writers…having Cleo gratuitously booted out of the country felt really really, really gross. Her not being with her friends in countless heartwarming and pivotal scenes, and only really being there to really save them or help with the treasure hunting was upsetting :(
But I liked how they brought Stubs back and we got to see a sliver of her life in Nassau with him, and how they addressed the issues in her relationship with Pope, where she was just there to support his dreams and ambitions. Pope being the one to go to Nassau to see her and be with her was a sweet ending (and having them get Tannyhill too). But even then, it felt like her issue was with the fact Pope wasn’t being romantic enough, rather than it being about how he never asked her what she wanted to do in the future, and just expected her to tag along with him. Ughh idk.
I also saw someone say they should’ve had Sofia and Cleo team up to break out of jail together, and that would’ve been so fun. And Cleo could’ve been with the pogues in the final scene then. And it would’ve been funny to have Rafe and Barry come up with this convoluted plan to bust Sofia out, come to find Sofia already out of there, clinging to Cleo’s side. If they wanted to integrate Sofia with the Pogues somehow, that would’ve been a much better sequence of events. Rather than have her awkwardly hover next to them :/

Now, after making up with his girlfriend, Logan encircled his arm around Sidney’s waist as she sipped on his beer, with a grimace.
“Still disgusting,” she muttered.
"Don’t worry I’ll get you your shake,” Logan said, kissing the side of her face. “You smell good.”
Sidney glanced at him, seeing the faint smirk on his lips.
“If you’re looking to get lucky,” she said, lowering her voice, missing the tension forming behind her. “You’re gonna have to try harder.”
“Even with the win?” He asked.
“Especially with the win.”
Logan cracked a smile, then squeezed her waist just as Dean angrily approached a newcomer.
An unusually distressed, Allie called out to him, “Dean."
Beau stressed, "Dean."
"The fսck are you doing here?" Dean seethed at Hunter.
A smug smile tugged at Hunter's lips, "I heard your team needs saving."
"Yeah? Get the fսck out." Dean said, stepping closer and gaining his friend's attention.
Garrett had already stood up from his booth beside Hannah and neared his best friend.
Hunter scanned them, before his gaze zeroed in on the new captain, "Hey, uh, Logan, you said this was his idea."
Betrayed, Dean glared at his friend, "You— You said what?"
"Dude, you didn't,” Tucker muttered, floating over to his table.
Garrett turned to Logan in confusion, "Hey, what the hell is going on here?"
Logan quickly defended, "You weren't there. I had to make a call."
Dean scoffed, "And the call was getting back at me for Sid?"
Sidney immediately shifted on her feet, uncomfortable with the insinuation, though her boyfriend seemed insulted by it.
"Are you serious bro?” Logan snapped. “This isn't personal."
"Oh, it isn't personal?" Dean retorted, “I’ve borne bruises from every tackle from you from the past week!”
And all the guys knew this wasn’t a good look for Logan.

He proudly wore his royal blue letterman jacket and sported puppy-dog eyes as he sheepishly walked up to her.
“It’s taken you this long to talk to me?” Sidney scoffed.
Logan sighed deeply, “I need to figure out what I want to say.”
“No.” Sidney shook her head, earning a confused look from him.
“What?”
“No, you had all the opportunities in the world, and I get you were hurt you had every right to be but you said you wouldn’t make me feel like shit and you did John.”
The use of his first name, made him stiffen, especially with the very little emotion in her tone.
Sidney pinched the bridge of her nose, “So I don’t think we should —“
“No," Logan didn't mean to snap.
But then again, he fucking did.

“We’re not going on a break or breaking up Sidney," he said definitively.
Offended, she argued, “That’s not your decision John.”

Something that had nothing to do with me. I get that now. It hurt but I get that. And I’m sorry. But we can work on this. I promise we can. But please don’t break up with me.”
She frowned, “John —“
“Look, everything about you is so genuine. In the past, hooked up with too many girls who played games, who said one thing and meant another, who lied or manipulated to get what they wanted. But not you Sid. You tell me everything, well as much as you can. And everything is sincere, even when you're pissed off or annoyed, you tell me about it. I appreciated that. So when you didn't it hurt me. I lost control. I felt like I lost you. And I cannot lose you."

Logan took a deep breath, with a roll of his shoulders, “I just wanted you to know how I felt. How I feel. I didn’t wanna say the wrong thing.”

But she couldn't care less, not when Logan looked so very conflicted. “So is this it? You’ve already made up your mind about how this relationship you go?”
He rapidly shook his head, and stepped closer, towering over her with their chests pressed together.
"No, the only thing I know is that we can't break up. So I trust you." Logan vowed, making her eyes double in size, "I'll trust you won't break up with me like what we have is nothing. When it's everything. We're everything. You're everything to me."
Her heart hammered in her chest when she gawked at him.
“Well?” He pressed, dread clogging his throat.
A smile prodded her lips, despite herself, “Okay.”
