Story time!
During the 2020 pandemic I worked at Ralphs Grocery store near my house. My mom had worked there for years and demanded my brother and I work there during this time since our other jobs were closed. It was a crazy time and everyone was still navigating how to deal with this. When I started working there I had a very nice and supportive general manager. He was the absolute best manager to have during this scary time. However, he was retiring soon so I only got the pleasure of working with him for a few months. Next thing I know we get a new store manager who was the devil disguised as a short blonde woman. She was rude, belittling, and a bully. I would often send memes and tik toks to my coworkers, as we all do. One day I was scrolling on the tik tok application and I came across a tik tok that was joking about how bosses are the worst and don't actually do their job. It was hilarious and I went to message it to my co-worker. Her name was saved under "Laurie Ralphs". Well when I went to type in her name it usually pops up first. Unfortunately, when I pressed send I didn't send it to Laurie. It was sent to my general manager "Trish Ralphs". It was too late to undo my wrong doings. I immediately texted her "oh my gosh I'm so sorry I meant to send that to my friend!". To my surprise she responded back "It's okay I thought it was funny" with a smiley face tongue out emoji. I still think about it to this day because I have never mistakenly sent anything to any of my bosses by accident, especially not a meme or video deliberately making fun of them. Let this be a warning to triple check your shady messages before you send them.
