I definitely think it’s okay to have a letter name!

It’s actually not totally uncommon either. There’s lots of letter names like with J/Jay/Jae, B/Bee/Bea, K/Kay, Z/Ze, etc. Some letters definitely work better than others but V can definitely work! 

For some V neutral names: Vale, Valen, Valor, Vace or Vas, Vesper, Vetiver

For some middle names that work with V: Payson, Blake, Tristan, Greyson, Carter, Finley, Peyton, Kylin, Micah, Shiloh, Emery/Emerson, Remy

Small devotional acts.

Play a competitive game

Listen to inspirational music

Wear bold, rich colors

Collect bird feathers

Wear metal/leafy headbands

Invest the time to fully prepare for your next test

Take the leap, try something new

Make cordage and wear it as jewelry (anklet, bracelet, necklace)

Keep a jar of the coins you find in random places

Do something that strengthens your body

Practice your cursive

Watch the Olympics

Burn sandalwood or rose incense*

Gold everything

Do little things to be more prepared (carry some band aids, replace your shoelaces, etc.)

Drink some tea/take some vitamins that help strengthen your immune system

Try a new sport***

Make a wreath*

Watch inspirational movies

Wear something with a wing design*

Take pride in small victories like getting all your homework done or finishing the laundry**

Write little things you’re proud of having done on bay leaves n put em in a jar**

Lay in the grass and imagine you’re flying**

Text yourself a strength of yours in the morning and read the message before you go to bed**

Congratulate others on the things they’ve done**

Compliment someone one something they did rather than superficial things**

Push yourself, but recognize when your mind and body need to stop**

Write a message to one of your personal heroes, even if you never send it to them**

Check in on someone you think is strong or a friend who takes on the mom friend role**

Take a bath with Epsom salts and essential oils – take care of your body

Never doubt your abilities

Black Autistic Woman, Avoiding “Angry BW” Stereotyping

Ooooohhohohohoh are you in for a treat xD 

As Black and Autistic, she will sometimes be thrown into the “angry Black woman” stereotype no matter what you do, by reader or character alike. 

What you can do as a writer to lower the chance a reader will see her that way, is to clearly show her motivation and intentions. 

Show her feelings about how people interpret her and how they react. If you clearly show that her actions aren’t born from anger, or that her anger is justified (because come on, some people REALLY know how to push the limits and then some), you should be as okay as you can be.

I definitely like the sound of Jasper Leo! It seems to suit you (from what little you described) and it seems to have some importance to you as well and I think that’s always great to have!
