The Wonut Waffle Donut is a delightful combination of a waffle and a donut, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's perfect for a sweet breakfast treat or a dessert.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup whole milk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 large egg. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying. 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Powdered sugar for dusting.
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl with a whisk. Put the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in a different bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed. There should be some lumps, but not too many. In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350F 175C. Spoons of the waffle batter should be dropped into the hot oil and fried for about two to three minutes on each side, until golden brown. Take the donuts out of the oil and let them drain on paper towels. Put chocolate chips on the waffle donuts while they are still warm to make them stick. Cover the donuts with powdered sugar. Enjoy your tasty Wonut Waffle Donuts while they're still warm.
