#womping willow

So I had a thought regarding to the most recent chapter. Chiara didn't want to join the Circle of Khanna because she was worried about people finding out she's a werewolf, right? (My poor baby girl) And she asks us if we trust everyone in the group. Personally I think that there are probably a few people who wouldn't be, realistically, with the stigma around werewolves and especially considering we know someone in the group whose boggart is a werewolf (Penny). Also at least one person in our group is distrustful, I mean come on.

James came into the dorm after dinner to grab some things for a study session with lily. He was thrilled to spend anytime with his girlfriend, even if it meant being a bit board.

“I don’t know about this Sirius, did you run it by remus first? What if he gets hurt?”

“come on wormtail, it is remus we are talking about. Sure wish I was there to see…… oh hey james.”

“what does wormtail mean about someone getting hurt?” he wasn’t liking the sound of that at all.

“just pulling a prank on Snivellus.”Sirius replied nonchalantly.

“and how is remus involved? And why would he get hurt?”

Sirius just looked away. This made james a bit angry. Sure pranks are one thing, but something that could get someone hurt was another.

“pad, what does he mean by get hurt?”

Sirius continued to ignore him. James rushed over and pushed Sirius against the wall “what did you do Sirius”

“prongs, let it go. I just told snivellus how to get past the womping willow and that he should go and see what is at the end of the tunnel that is all.”

“you told him to do what? During a full moon? Do you freaking know how much trouble you have caused.” With that he ran out of the castle and made it to the womping willow just as snape was heading into the tunnel. He picked up his speed and grabbed snape just as he reached the end.

“get out of here snape now.”

“what do you care?”

James pushes snape behind him in the tunnel and makes him start leaving the tunnel when the unmistakable howl is heard behind them.

“hurry up snape get out of here.”

Snape didn’t need telling twice. He was going as fast as he could now with james close behind. As soon as they get past the entrance of the tunnel james quickly seals it with a spell.

“what are you and your friends getting at?”

“snape, you can’t tell anyone. It was incredibly stupid of Sirius to do what he did but please don’t punish remus for his stupidity.”

“or what?”

“or nothing, just please.”

“just as long as that thing doesn’t come near me anymore I won’t.” snape storms off.

With a sigh of relief james made his way to the griffendor common room. Lily started to walk towards him and he snapped “not now lily” realizing how rude he just sounded he took a breath and calmed down and turned towards her “sorry, I have something to deal with then I will explain, ok?”

“yeah sure. Meet you by the fire place.” With that he turns and heads upstairs to his dorm room.

“Sirius, do you like remus?” james was trying to stay calm.

“I love him, you know I do.”

“then why in the hell did you risk him getting in trouble or hurting anyone. You know he wouldn’t be able to handle it if he hurt or killed someone!” James kept staring at Sirius waiting for a response.

After a while a small voice that never came out of Sirius before “I didn’t…”

“what think? Obviously not you bloody idiot. Remus not only could have killed or hurt snape but have been expelled or worse, thrown into Azkaban.”

“but they…”

“wouldn’t do that to remus? He is a bloody werewolf Sirius. Of course they would.”

With that james left the dorm and found lily.

“are you okay?” lily leaned against him.

“no not really. I am really worried about remus.” As he told lily the story she was getting as angry as he was.

“where the hell is black? I am going to kill him. I swear I will. To put remus in such a position, it is…..”

“I know. I already gave him and earful and I am not sure I won’t turn him in to dumbledor.”

“no need, I am already on my way.” Sirius scurried out of the common room.

“as he should.” Lily said to james.
