Window on the womb. An improved system of midwifery. 1851. Frontispiece.
Internet Archive
The transplant was performed on a 34-year-old woman with an organ donated by her 40-year-old sister, who has two children of her own.
Transphobes are freaking out over this because if trans women can give birth then their piss-poor list of what it takes to be a "real woman" gets smaller and they're freaking out over "the man who stole some poor woman's uterus!"
Except, like you can read without clicking on the article right there- this transplant is between two cisgender sisters. (Cisters, if you will.) One sister was infertile.
Now, could this mean that trans women might be able to give birth in the future with a uterus transplant? Maybe. I hope to see that day. (I'd donate mine if I could. I dunno if my organs would be any good to anybody because of my blood disorder.)
“The female body was once worshiped as holy. What we now call mythology was once theology.”
— From When God Was a Woman by Merlin Stone
A woman without a connection to her intuition is lost, powerless and gullible. Our intuition is our inner compass that connects us to the unseen forces, protects us from harm and guides us to victory. Never betray your inner self.

if your body is menstruating, how old were you when you got your period for the first time?
Thanks to @about-that-teenie-girl2 for the poll request! I will have to adjust the wording to account for people who used to menstruate but no longer do, but the question will maintain its meaning, don't worry!
NOTE: All you peeps who used to menstruate but don't any more, whether that's because of taking testosterone as part of gender transition (as is my situation), menopause, eating disorders, hysterectomy, or any other reason - I tried to word the question to account for every nuance, but if I haven't succeeded, then I apologise. 🧡
If you have (or used to have) periods, how old were you when you had your first menstrual cycle?
8 or younger (8 is medically considered the earliest the body can menstruate)
9
10
11
12
13
14
15 or older (15 is considered late, but healthy. Older can mean health issues)
I still haven't started my first menstrual cycle
I am on puberty blockers to prevent my first menstrual cycle
I have a medical condition that means I will never menstruate
I was born male or intersex without the necessary organs for menstruation
