「𓆄」 "And you're sure that's one of the things you want to do?" He recalled the woman's suggestion for snowboarding in the isles in the sky, and really...It seemed a little dangerous! But, it didn't take much convincing and explaining some logistics to Hawks that he'd eventually cave.
And that's how they were here now: cozied up together on the ski lift. Sure, Hawks could fly the both of them up to the summit, but he was a firm believer in experiences too: and this was part of the experience too! Too bad the seat was so cold he couldn't even really feel his backside anymore...
And it'd been so long since the pro had dealt with a cold spell, he forgot how easily cold he could get. So, he found what remained of his wing would wrap itself around the other to pull her closer to him, and maybe sap some of her body heat for himself.
"I thought you didn't like the cold." Hawks even wrapped his arms around her, despite being a literal space heater, he just felt like he couldn't stay very warm.
"Oh well, I do have an idea on what we can do after this." It was something they'd passed by on their way to the lift. While he was good at playing absentminded, he was top notch in making mental notes. "You gotta beat me in a race, though, if you want to get to the part two of this date."

You are floating. Softly, silently, and somewhat sweetly. You like the feeling. There is a fluidity to your movement in this state that is not often felt. You are... at ease. Relatively.
Something strangely beautiful about the snow that dances about to, speckling the air like the stars scattered just beyond the enclosure.
Ah, right. The stars. You are far too shy, too scared, to take them in proper. Your chest grows far too heavy (heavy enough to feel as though you're sinking) when you dwell on why that is. So you don't. Thus, the view you behold when you do lazily open your eye to check on your surroundings from time to time is fixated solely on the ground beneath you.
Part of you wonders though... The bright shade of your cloak, your hair, your hat... If you curled yourself up as you rise above, would you blend into the starry expanse above you? Could you pretend, even for a moment, you were one of them? That you belonged somewhere beautiful like that? Ah... It does sound nice.
You know there are others present as you let yourself drift and dance higher. You can hear the reactions, a symphonic mix that could very well cover the whole spectrum of emotion. You hear faint giggles and nervous breaths of air, elation and concern... It blends into a quiet hum that spares you from the darker tone your thoughts could take.
It is quieter where you are. You're close enough to hear, but far enough away that you float alone. You curl in on yourself. It comes naturally to you, the ease in which you wrap your arms around your legs, the way your knees soon press into your chest.
You could lose yourself up here, if you're not careful. But what harm is a quiet repose like this? What is your aim here, if any? To be closer to the stars, to the edge, maybe. A fleck of bright white that yearns to be among them. Beneath you, the fall that you're owed for such wishful thinking.
So stay here a little longer. A silent little star amongst the snowflakes. That also sounds nice, doesn't it?
"Hey, you know... you blend in an awful lot with the snow dressed like that." A funny thing coming from you. The bright shade of your cloak also sort of loses itself in these conditions, if you squatted down so that your legs didn't show, you'd practically be halfway to a snowperson yourself! But enough about you! You have a plan!!
"I bet if we pack enough snow up against you, you could give a few people a good scare. Just for fun, yeah?"
You totally should have this under control. You definitely do not. You are totally going to keep pretending you do though! However, it is getting glaringly, unmistakably obvious you do not have this under control...!
"Can you... STOP SQUIRMING!!" You've got one of these weird little guys locked in your grasp, but it refuses to relent to you. FIGURES. It writhes around and it's... well it's kind of gross? It's sticky. It's going to ruin your gloves at this rate! As you lament the future condition of your clothes, it takes a well-awaited opportunity to free itself and immediately launches away, hurtling straight toward and into.... someone else.
"Hey, uh, Uzi..." There's an awful lot of doubt in your voice as you peer through the glass and watch as your cookie facsimile is steadily constructed before your eyes. "Weird question..."
Your gloved hand hovers over the screen with an uncharacteristic hesitance for what, as you look around you anyway, most appear to be having a pretty easy time with. But this thing is asking you what colors you want for your decorative frosting, and... well... you don't know what those are. You stare at the screen to perceive an array of light and dark shades with no discernible difference between... quite a lot of them, actually. You are out of your element.
"Which options do I even pick for this...?" But good luck getting yourself to admit that!

「𓆄」 "I'm not...I was just passing through..." Though, despite his lame protests, he was given a marker to designate him to a team. It was a 2 x 2 snowball fight! Well, it sounded like fun, admittedly, and depending on whom he was paired with, he might be able to make it quick to get back to the office.
So, he tied the team marker around his wrist, and made his way over to who he figured he was paired up with. "Hiyaaa!"
"It's weird how during these festivals I always get roped into challenges where I'm teamed up with somebody!" It's almost like they knew the support he could offer for a festival would be entertaining enough. "Sooo, got a game plan?"
You are... drawn to the forest. Maybe it was the whispers you heard, or maybe you somehow, in some way, know what waits for you. In any case, you arrive, to no real grandiose sort of celebration or even acknowledgement of the resolve it even took to force yourself here. Not that you were expecting it. All that waits is a passageway, and something deeper that lies within it. You want to see it, despite the singe of doubt that bites at your heels now.
The clearing you now traverse is... eerily quiet. You dare not disturb it. Even if you wanted to, your breath hitches in your throat. What do you even say? You haven't even... spotted them. Spotted you? If he sees you, can't he be the one to break this silence? Is that so much to ask? You don't know. You... don't know.
You look around... But it's just you here . . . . . .
That's not right. That's not. Right. There's supposed to be someone here. There's supposed to be something here!!! Why isn't there?! What does that tell you?? Are you trapped like this?? Does time not move the same because of the loops?!?!? You... you suppose that would... make some amount of sense. Your chest tightens. You hate this. What did you expect. Why did you think anything would be here.
After all... You have nothing left anymore ... ... ....... . .
There's a weight on your chest . It's small, faint. You almost barely register it thanks to how tense you are. But it's there. You focus on it.
You look down , but you don't see anything . . .
Well, that's not true. You do see something, but, it's... impossible to discern. But it's there. You swear to the stars you know it's there. But it's... blurry. Foggy. Like trying to stare at something through the bottom of a glass. Like you're swimming, opening your eyes underwater. All you can see is one large fleck of white against the darker shades of the glen you're in.
But. It's. There.
You sigh in relief, press your hands where you can feel the weight. You're... not sure what you feel, even touching it doesn't define anything, but you assume it may be his hands. You breathe in... and out. In... and out. All the tension in your body dissipates. You are not alone. You have... something. Someone. Sort of.
"I'm okay," you assure your company. All that answers you back is static. Oh. You lied. You are not okay. This isn't fair. Why can't you hear them. Why can't you see him.
You fall. To your knees. Whatever is near you wraps whatever form they have around you. Like a hug. But when you reach out to return it, to assure your mind there is something, to maybe see clearly... you don't know where to reach, how to hold them. Your hands are open, ready to receive, you hover them where this strange blur is most concentrated, but grab at nothing. Your heart sinks.
More static. He's talking to you. But you can't hear him. You can't. Remember. That's why, isn't it? ISN'T IT?!?! BECAUSE YOU FORGOT. EVERYONE FORGOT. That's. Why. Your past doesn't exist anymore. It isn't real . If you can't remember then who can say it even happened . . . ?
Ha ha. Ahahaha haha ha ha ha ha.
You let yourself consume you, until the strange bright shade covers every inch of your vision. They are not any clearer. You still only hear static when they speak. It hurts so much. You don't know what to say. What can you say?! Do you admit it?!? No, no... This is. A child. Probably. You before you... forgot. When you... lived............
"Nngh... I'm sorry..."
Your head hurts. Thinking about this. If only you could hear them. You would ask. So many questions. You want answers. You want to remember. Even if it kills you. Please, please... you want to see... you want to hear... just once.
But you won't.
You can reach all you want, but even your hands too have forgotten something as simple as how to hold. You can focus, close your eyes, try to listen... but all you'll get is a headache that could very well split your head in two. That's almost a kinder fate than what you find yourself in now.
Your eye-patch is cold. Are they... touching it? Right. They wouldn't know about it. Maybe he thinks it's cool. Or maybe it scares them. You're not sure... you don't know how to talk to them.
"I..." You try and touch him again, placing your hand where you feel the chill... but again, you don't really grab hold of anything you can define. "I got it in a fight, protecting my friend..."
All you hear in response is static. You can't even discern emotion from it. It all sounds the same, like it's stripped away from you before you even get a chance. You want to think they're comforting you. You want to. But you don't know. You don't know. You don't know anything.
All you feel is a strange... weight. Against you. A tightening. More static. It hurts, but it's... strangely nice. You want this, more than anything. You want more. You're so greedy. You're awful. This is all you'll ever get. This is all you have. This is. All you are. This is... it's not fair. IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!! But it's all you'll get. So you have to like it. Why can't you ever be satisfied??
So you just sit like this . . . Wrapped in an embrace you cannot feel the warmth of... for what feels like forever . . .
He did his best to follow the chimes, and a few straggling people aided him as well. There's a degree of hesitance when his visions darkens, but the bright shining glow of the floors fill his heart with a joy he could not possibly put into words.
And why try? The easiest way to describe it is to just... Laugh. Oh, he's practically giggling. The floor here is like a giant, wonderful array of glowstone paths and he loves every step he takes. It's not so much dancing as it is hopping and stepping and skipping along, listening to the music he makes and the light show he creates.
The silver sheen the entire room takes only makes him laugh more, only makes him bound further across the room, spinning in circles and twirling around. Oh, he adores this! When he's almost out of breath, he swaps to just hop, hop, hopping to each tile and the next. A bright smile on his face all the while.
