TARTAH - WHA !

he's just a baby! and also a witch! not really! don't ask him to cast anything!

his magic follows a strict set of rules back home, but he has broken a few of them, this does technically make him a war criminal of sorts

a bit stubborn and skeptical but in the "you are a twelve year old boy" kind of way

has a unique kind of achromatopsia that gives everything a bright silver-like sheen, making it impossible for him to properly see colors and. well. do magic (he is sensitive about this but don't worry about it)

a good kid! he wants to help! he has bright ideas in his brain, love in his heart, and hope in his soul!

used to work at the witch version of a stationer's shop helping his grandpa, and knows his way around crafting and carving stuff!!

And why try? The easiest way to describe it is to just... Laugh. Oh, he's practically giggling. The floor here is like a giant, wonderful array of glowstone paths and he loves every step he takes. It's not so much dancing as it is hopping and stepping and skipping along, listening to the music he makes and the light show he creates.

He doesn't really get why it's just this spell. Tartah wishes he had a slightly more inconspicuous way of testing it out, but, well... Wandering around this shop will have to do. This clearly isn't Zozah anyway, so he doesn't feel the need to be so worried about it. To anyone who isn't a witch, this is probably just a pretty piece of paper with a design doodled on it. He's doing a fine enough job making sure no one actually sees it working.

He, as discreetly as he can, holds the paper up to some of the bottles that are on the upper shelf. Slowly, an image of plants and roots appear and tell him exactly what the contents are comprised of. Yeah, it still works!

“Alright, alright!! Just let go of me...!!!”  Tartah squirms as best he can to wrest the man’s hands from his shoulders.  He tries not to make a scene, but this isn’t the most ideal scenario to be placed in.  Tartah does know him, although given the circumstances, he is not the most enthused to see him here.  Of all available options, depending on Qifrey most of all doesn’t imbue him with the most confidence.

"Uuuuh.... Sorry!! I didn't mean to bump into..." Tartah's voice briefly trails off as he stares at the poor soul he's bumped into. He, uh, um... He doesn't know if he likes the look of this guy. He knows this obviously isn't anywhere in Zozah, so maybe those rules shouldn't apply, but... Still, it was pretty natural to be unnerved, no? Maybe?

“Something like this, maybe?”  He has on a pair of triangular glasses, and another pair he fidgets with in his hands.  He holds the second pair up to place them in such a way that they overlap on his face, though it does require one pair being upside down (try as he might, this shop did not have any that had the triangles in a different position.)

He grumbles in frustration.  Not only was it not the same, but these glasses were tinted anyway!  Completely useless if he wanted to use them the way gramps did!!

He's stood a bit awkwardly, for one simply amidst a simple market. But there is a lot of daunting things about this place. He's tried to find his way around to all the important, logical places one would need to, well, get by so to speak. This seems like a good place to get some food when he needs it, but...

"Hey, I— I said 'm fine!" Spoken with such irritated conviction, for someone who has quite obviously fallen and skinned his knee. He's been privy to a little too many new unique circumstances lately, and is extremely out of his element... He didn't think he'd lose touch enough to trip and fall though.

His knee is wet. He's bleeding, isn't he? Great, he thinks. The first thing anyone thinks is to worry about him. He's not just some helpless kid! He can get up fine and manage on his own! He'll prove it...!!!
