124.5. Winter Windster (Ore Dayo! Wario Dayo!!)

When looking up the Winter Windster, I found what it looks like in manga form, and the creepiness factor between the two is night and day. I just had to draw it.

Well this is... this is something alright! You know, I have a personal theory that Wario World isn’t a game so much as it is a social experiment and this only helps prove my point. I don’t know if I want to talk about this boss, really. 

“Why not? Don’t you want to share my beautiful visage with the world?” says Winter Windster, who is really too close to the camera. Ok! Geez! Just as long as you back off a little! 

The Winter Windster is the boss of Shivering Mountains, and you encounter it in a cave just kind of curled up in a ball. Then it starts swimming around the air and making weird alien noises. It’s really cool and fun and awesome and not terrifying.

As you might expect from an Ice World boss, one of their attacks is ice-breath which freezes you on the spot! What you might not expect is that once they freeze you, they immediately land on the ground and start charging towards you with their gross tiny body.

It’s great stuff! I’m very scared!

Though, other than that... they’re a pretty standard boss. I mean, you throw boulders into those lava geysers in order to hit them out of the sky, and then you... you do the thing that Wario does. Throw them around or whatever. It probably has a name but I haven’t played Wario World. Oh yes, they do spawn boulders from their cloud mist trail! Why wouldn’t they?

What’s that? You were waiting for me to mention that they have a special attack where their eyes glow red, and if you look into their eyes they’ll turn themselves into wind and force themselves down Wario’s throat? Why, I almost forgot! You wouldn’t happen to want to see a gif of this in action, would you?

Oh, why am I even asking? Of course you do!

Splendid. Let’s move on, shall we?

I mean, let’s just move on from this in general. I spent a good while trying to make this gif and now I think I’m ready to move on from this chapter of my life. It’s really been a pleasure!
