#wing study

A lot of people seemed to like the lil wing design that I gave Gabriel in my last post. So here is a clearer version for those who want a better look. It was really fun to create on its own tbh. I love sharp shapes :3

Speaking of wings—

Enjoy my wing study as I suck at drawing wings and I wanted to do some more fun things with this guy.

I see a lot of different versions of wings people give Gabriel. Fluffy, basic, detailed, or just the original wings like in game. So, my idea was to combine both of them. Where the feather like part is separated from the solid like part. It doesn’t make a bunch of sense but neither does my brain.

Paper - Bird species : Red Cardinal and Blue Jay - Limbs w/o flesh

OJ - Shark species : Orange Nurse Shark - Limb with flesh

Mostly wing studies + Fin/tail studies + limb studies

Here is a very rough study of pterosaur and bird wings. Half of the time working on this was spent trying to find proper references…

I am open to constructive criticism! There is a chance that I named/drew a few muscles incorrectly because there was just. So. Many. References.

y'ever be like "I'm going to draw a picture of a simply-designed character from a children's tv show" and then go into a fugue state and somehow a week later you've done a whole-ass biology research project

These were meant to be simple sketches. I kinda got carried away. Enjoy my sparrow-inspired bird child!
