The Goose Boy (aka The pillow Willow Princess)🪿
I believe we speak not enough about the cheerful pillow Will’s laying on — just because why not 🪿
So yes, actually, I looked up any fairytales about a girl and her geese to make a conformitygate theory out of it (lol). Here’s what I found:
Stealing someone’s identity memories, distorting them to force one become someone they’re not, believe that their feelings are not valid and not the same anymore — sounds somehow like it? Okay, it’s most likely a stretch, but at least entertaining one. (And explaining the weird choice for the pillow case, bc otherwise just why? For funsies? Ok, I don’t mind.)
To add a bit more fuel, I’ll add that @mike-weezer-apologist reminded me (in the comments under this post) about El substituting Will in Mike’s life. Which matches with The Goose Girl too: 1) Will being somehow changed after last Vecna’s impact on him and now denying his feelings 2) about one thousand ways of El mirroring Will in Mike’s life (which is not a secret) (the painting is one of the biggest ones, even being unintentional from her side, intention here is not the point).
Tbh, I’m ofc not sure about this exact fairytale, whether it was a reference or they just picked a funny pillow case for that scene — which however doesn’t change these two facts 👆 They’re canon.
Also this post was supposed to cover the following thing in the same scene: erratic movements of Will’s eyes. But I’ve started writing it and couldn’t ever stop lol, so I decided to post it separately tomorrow.
And this is just a post about geese and a small conspiracy theory, nothing more — bc even if this fairytale reference means nothing, we still can enjoy a frame with Will on a pillow with a girl and her geese, thank you for looking at it🪿
