I've been scratching my head all day about the concept of the Deans pairing Eulalie in a trial with Will and Annabel. She kind of resents Will for staying with Montresor and definitely hates Annabel for what she did to Duke. But then, this weird thing happens where they listen to her, like really do. Not like following her orders because they want to get on her good side, but because it seems to them that she says things that make sense and they want her opinion on decisions that need to be made.
That's the kind of recognition she doesn't get from her dear friends. And it feels weird as hell, but not unpleasant. And she possibly feels guilty for offering them some sympathy, because she's facing an uncomfortable fact: a good ally doesn't have to be a good friend, let alone a good person.
I think it would be something really fascinating to explore.
(I'm asking this out of genuine curiosity I swear)
