Large Kneeling Statue of Hatshepsut | ca. 1479β1458 B.C. | New Kingdom In her terraced temple at Deir el-Bahri ππ ππ¦π¦ππ ± βαΈsr-αΈsr.w-Δ±Νmmβ βThe sacred of the most sacred of Amunβ, there were at least ten π βmαΈwβ over life-sized kneeling statues ππππΎ βαΈ«ntyβ of Hatshepsut. She is shown as a male king πππ βnswβ wearing a kilt ππππ ±ππ― βsΜndΜ±w.tβ a false beard, and the white crown πππ βαΈ₯αΈ.tβ of Upper Egypt (as in this statue). This statue represents Hatshepsut βUnited with Amun, Foremost of Nobel Ladiesβ (ππ ππΈππππΌπͺ) βimn-αΊnmt αΈ₯A.t-Ε‘ps.wtβ wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt/Southern πΎπ βt3-Ε‘mΛβ (the south), so it may have been placed on the southern πππ βrsyβ side of the processional way. On the base, Hatshepsut is said to be offering fresh plants to Amun ππ ππ© βΔ±Νmnβ βthe hidden oneβ. On the back pillar πΊπ€βiwnβ, she is identified by her Horus name, Wosretkau (ππ΄ππππ) βwsr.t-k3wβ βMighty of Kasβ, which is written in a rectangular device called a serekh . One also finds fragments of her throne name, Maatkare (π³ππ§) βm3Λ.t-k3-rΛβ βThe True One of the Ka of Raβ and her personal name, Hatshepsut, both of which are written inside oval cartouches π²πππ ±πΆ βΕ‘nwβ.
