I’ve always wanted to throw the “secret trio” ( Danny Fenton, Jake Long, and Randy Cunningham) into a DPXDC crossover just for fun, so hear me out:
I imagine them exploring infinite realms and accidentally stumbling through a portal into the DC Universe. Instead of immediately trying to go back and “avoid causing trouble,” they just… start randomly fighting supervillains here and there. No secret identities, no heavy responsibilities, they basically turn that dimension into their personal playground.
And it gets even better: they have counterparts in that universe. Completely normal counterparts. And now those poor, powerless versions of themselves have to deal with the consequences of villains the trio pissed off 💀
Randy? Oh, he’s chilling. The mask saves him, no problem.
But Jake and Danny? Oh they are in TROUBLE.
Imagine this: in this DC universe, Maddie Fenton and Jack Fenton never succeeded in their ghost research. Their son, Danny, is away after college and then suddenly there’s breaking news about a ghost-powered kid who transforms back and forth and looks EXACTLY like their 14-year-old son???
They’d go absolutely feral like: “HAS OUR SON BEEN DEAD THIS WHOLE TIME???”
Meanwhile, this version of Jake? No dragon powers, just a family legend he never believed, because his grandpa sounded a little too “trust me bro” about it and that is why he never spend much time with his grandpa in this universe . Maybe dragons are basically extinct in the DC universe, only the really old ones are left, like his grandpa.
So imagine Jake's grandpa seeing an actual teenage dragon who looks just like his grandson and going:
“Finally! Someone inherited the gift! My great-grandson… I knew it would come back to our family!”
Because of course he’d think that teenager is Jake’s long-lost son... not Jake himself.
And then there’s the Justice League watching this entire mess unfold : two versions of the same trio running around, trying VERY hard to send the powered trio back to their dimension…
…and the trio just hits them with a collective:
“nah.”
But like… they totally leave eventually.
…only to come back again. And again. Because now the DC universe is basically their favorite chaos vacation spot
(And just to clarify, I made the DC trio older in this AU, because it would be hilarious for the adults to see their teenage versions with powers being completely irresponsible. And of course, all the misunderstandings because if a miniature version of you suddenly shows up, the first thing you think is: “Did I have a kid?)
