of All Things that could happen to me I think my laptop is dead beyond repair...

It’s VERY old (old enough that trying to get it fixed has been a nightmare the past few years because it’s “vintage” and parts are so hard to find) and it’s been crashing with increasing frequency but... it’s just not starting up at all anymore today and won’t even read the hard drive. which also means I can’t tell if all my files are lost or not yet? But the repair guy I spoke to on phone said it’s a hardware problem with the machine itself :’I
