I think they are kind of #posh or #privileged because they don't have to #mingle with the #riffraff . Probably they are closely related to the #MerKing, or doing well in #commerce, which some merfolk do like to participate in. The Mer-King is the richest of all the Mer-Folk, and has a large collection of valuable golden treasures. But you don't need #wealth or #treasure to live #happily #underthesea. The #ocean provides everything a #young #mermaid needs.
