I didn’t realize the husband biked to work instead of taking the car, so I was waiting for him to get home for lunch so I could take the 5yo to school and we were almost late and it’s only because the wind made the garage door thump and make funny noises and I opened the door to check on it that I realized the car was in the garage before I called said husband and left a probably incoherent and vaguely embarrassing message.

I ate an entire box of mac & cheese and then stole all the chocolate from the 5yo’s candy stash for lunch.

(do you think they make time machines so I can skip the next, oh, week and a half? Because everything hurts and clearly this is going to be a very bad PMS cycle? At least I have finally found my heating pad. That should help.)

I didn’t even manage to play any DAI this morning because I couldn’t figure out how I was going to get the dog to settle upstairs without her trying to eat the carpet again. And I am so close to finishing a section I can taste it but I have been for over a week so the taste is turning a little bitter. 

(dearest children, I love you, and I desperately hope you do not grow up to be like me because I am a terrible excuse for a human being this month?)

I think I missed a dose of my medication a day or two ago, and it’s not like I was having a grand couple of weeks before that happened, and I am really tired of falling into patterns that I know are unhealthy even as I keep doing them

*sighs*

On the upside, I got an omnibus of Jemisin’s The Inheritance Trilogy for my anniversary and devoured the whole thing (including the novella sequel which is just THE MOST PRECIOUS THING I HAVE EVER READ) pretty much immediately, so that was great, but we can add got nothing done this weekend and book hangover to the reasons I’m a little cranky today.
