Spin The Bottle (The ultimate Whedon meme - episode/movie 2/10)

Season four of Angel is my favorite, which seems to be a very unpopular opinion but, still, I think it is the best season of the show. But even I have to admit it is also a very depressing season. Nobody is happy, Cordy (who always has been the heart of the team) is possessed, Connor is in a weird borderline psychopathic teenage rebellion, nobody seems to want to forgive Wes (when everybody always forgive everybody), Angel is depressed and sees the woman he loves bang his son (yuck). And then there is that Goddess that makes everybody happy and they have to destroy that, which is not exactly a win. So yeah, it is depressing. And I think Spin The Bottle is the only really happy episode in the whole season.

And it is an hilarious episode, where Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker totally steal the show. They both are so good at comedy that it is no wonder that they were so awesome in Much Ado About Nothing. And seeing Queen C back was really sweet, particularly in a season where Cordelia is the bad guy (and before that episode is frustratingly amnesic and doesn't connect with anyone). And Angel being just totally lost is just hysterical.

Nathan Fillion (The ultimate Whedon meme - actor 2/7)

Serenity is the first thing I've watched with Nathan Fillion in it, and I fell in love with him right away. Not too long after that, I saw him as Caleb in Buffy and this is the moment I knew I was in for a long ride... Because anyone able to rock the Han Solo kind and the sexy evil psychopath as perfectly is the kind I just can't stop loving.

I am really happy that Nathan Fillion has a good career. I have seen him in a lot of things, and he always is perfect. I don't care how little his part is, he will steal the show (did you see Super ?). He knows how to do comedy, and he knows how to do drama, and action, and sci-fi, and horror... and about everything.

The bus team (The ultimate Whedon meme - family 1/5)

One of the things I love the most about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is how they built the team. It was not too fast, little by little they became family and it was very nice to watch. In one season, they became so close you just can't imagine them apart. I actually even have issues with the idea of Ward not being with them, even after everything, because some part of me want them to see him as their responsibility and being the ones trying to redeem him. (I can't wait to see what they will do about Ward in season 2).

We Are The Champions (The ultimate Whedon meme - song 1/5)

It is a very short scene, but it is one of the funniest moments in a Whedon show... And it takes place in Angel The Series, the spin-off that was supposed to be so much darker, edgier and more adult than Buffy The Vampire Slayer... Well, it was kinda darker, I mean, it mostly took place at night, and it was more adult, we weren't watching some highschoolers or some students, but young adults (and a vampire, and a demon that had a karaoke bar...). And yeah, it was darker, and the fact that the end was more or less everybody ready to die (with already a lot of losses) in the night, when Btvs' end was in the sun after a victory that didn't kill the main heroes, says something about it.
