Brock didn’t interact with his roommate often, to be honest he barely even knew and barely even saw the guy. Though from what he could tell from their living spaces, that guy got major pussy, he could respect that. Although, maybe it was just a committed relationship, because the girl clothes he did find around the dorm tended to be of the same style or the same clothes over and over again.

Either way, it wasn’t any of Brock’s business what the guy got up to. So long as the guy left him alone, Brock would leave him alone. So when he walked into the dorm one night and saw a group of nerds, two guys and a chick, circled on the floor, he could only assume one of them was his roommate.

“Uh, hey.” Brock raised his hand in greeting and went ahead and threw his bag on the top bunk.

“Who are you?” Brock looked over his shoulder, it was the only girl in the group, maybe his roommate’s girlfriend?

“This is my dorm, names Brock.” She did look like she would fit the clothes he would occasionally find before practice, “Hey, so, are you like my roommate's girlfriend or something?”

Suddenly the whole circle of nerds was looking at him. All while the chick just balked and blinked in surprise, “What? …Was I not supposed to say something in front of your clique?” Brock didn't know why, but he suddenly felt very not nervous, but more apprehensive of the situation he found himself in. He didn't want to beat the crap outta these nerds, but if they made the wrong move, well…That was different.

“You didn't tell him?” One of the nerds asked, the freaky one with the white hair, “Rusty!”

“It's T.S., Pete!” The chick(T.S?) hissed her arm stretched out at home, “There wasn't a reason to! We never see eachother! This is the first time this whole semester I've met my roommate!”

The bigger one of the group shoved Pete hard, “Not cool White, this is not for you to say.”

That started a whole load of bickering, while Brock was just reeling from the fact that the chick was his roommate, “Hold on now!” Brock raised his voice, cutting through the argument that Pete and the big one were having, “How is that even possible, last time I checked this university doesn’t have co-ed housing.”

The whole group paused and looked at one another, while T.S. only hugged herself. Brock would have felt a little guilty about it, if he wasn’t so fucking confused.

“Technically. Technically they don’t have co-ed housing” T.S mumbled

“What do you mean technically?” Brock asked, raising his eyebrow.

She rubbed the back of her hair, sighing, “I’m trans.”

“And that means?” Brock asked again, getting a bit more annoyed, honestly this group couldn’t give one straight answer.

“I was born a boy,” she(he) sighed, pinching the bridge of their nose, “But, I’m not a boy, so I take hormones to make my body look how I know I should look.”

Brock could only blink, “What the fuck?”

Then before Brock could blink again, the big one from earlier was suddenly standing, making his way over to him ready to fight. Brock was ready though, and the kid was still smaller than him. But much to his surprise, he T.S jumped on the back of the big one before he could make his way to Brock.

“Werner, no!” T.S yelled, making the big one(Werner) topple a little bit, “I told you that’s the usual reaction here, that’s normal!”

“That’s not the point!” Werner growled but still backed away while T.S got off his back, Werner now facing his roommate in full, “You are still a woman! In my country, woman is a woman, no matter if born man or not!”

“And that’s great for you guys, but it isn’t like that here! Jesus,” T.S was practically pulling her hair out this point, “Why the fuck is your country so fucking progressive?!”

“Ginger, it’s human rights!” Werner said exasperated, “Look, we can talk more about it later, right now, we have more pressing matters.”

Werner looked back at Brock, his eyes showing nothing but protectiveness and conviction. Brock knew that look, he could respect that look, “What do you plan on doing with this information?”

“What do you mean?” Brock sneered

“I mean,” Werner hissed while T.S only stood behind the man, it was only then that Brock seemed to realize that even if she was tall, she was…Small, “You won’t be telling anyone or holding this over her, will you?”

“Why would I do that?”

“Because a lot of people would be very interested in this information,” Pete spoke up, now shoulder to head with Werner, all the while T.S was whining about fighting her own battles behind them.

“No, I won’t,” Brock replied, he just wanted to crawl into his bunk and have this whole conversation to be over at this point, he had a chick coming over later tonight and needed som rest, “So are we over with this whole mess then?”

“Yes!” T.S. Yelled from behind the two men, “Goddamn it, Werner, Pete move!”

Pete and Werner exchanged some kind of look before moving, “Thank you!” T.S. Sighed, “I’m sorry for the mess Pete made,” T.S sneered at the man, Pete shrinking in response, “Look we’ll leave you alone and you leave us alone?”

“Sounds like a deal,” Brock nodded stiffly, “You know I have a girl coming over later-“

T.S shrugged her shoulders, her and her friends returning to the floor, “When do you not? We’ll be gone by the time she comes over.”

Then with that, they went back to sitting on the floor, talking about whatever they were talking about. Brock didn’t even know how to respond to that, they just had, what he assumed was a life changing rument about T.S, yet they just agreed to let it be if he didn’t tell?
