Figured I'd start making posts about the things I consume during the month (MEDIA, THIS ISN'T A FOOD LOG) to try and expand my horizons a bit and maybe look for recommendations from followers. Idk. Feel free to check out the stuff I share I guess?

MOVIES
Wake Up Dead Man (2025); I love the Knives Out series of movies so I was so excited for this. The use of lighting throughout the movie is gorgeous, the shots are framed great, the acting was awesome as I expected. Very religious centric so if you have religious trauma maybe avoid this one. Otherwise, give it a go!
Knives Out (2019); Rewatched it cause I watched WUDM so figured why not. Also got my sister to enjoy the series!!
Labyrinth (1986); Childhood fav of mine so obviously a rewatch.
Kpop Demon Hunters (2025); The art style had me hooked immediately and the girls are awesome. I will absolutely be relistening to the entire soundtrack on loop forever.
Me Before You (2016); This one was a rewatch. I cry every time I watch it and this time was no exception. I've lost a lot of things to my own disability so I relate to Will's bitterness at life (although my disability isn't as severe as his). Devestating. I will be rewatching it in the future obviously.
WEBTOONS
Castle Swimmer; Gay fish... Also found family dynamics, trauma recovery, i suppose you could possibly consider it religious trauma too given the circumstances. Queer and trans characters, awesome designs.
Bailin and Li Yun; More gay fish! Mer x human dynamic, the human is a scientist/marine biologist. Very silly and fun so far but there's some more drama happening now.
It Strikes a Chord; Lead singer of a band x bookshop owner. Childhood best friends to strangers to best friends to lovers. Internalised homophobia. The struggle of being a small town queer, growing up poor, family struggles, etc. Also the art is gorgeous.
The Croaking; Fantasy world where everyone is a bird person. Organised crime groups, military schools, bird racism, idiots who are bad at communication, this one has it all.
The Egg Project; Two boys who were raised together but don't particularly get along get forced to parent an egg together for a class project.
Superfish; A witch and a human are forced to stay close to eachother because of a magic mishap. Highschool setting.
Illicitly Yours; A killer x a writer. They meet in a coffee shop and it's very slice of life and fun.
Ocean Hues; Transfer student with no friends meets a pretty boy and gets yanked into his friend group.
