Hi! I wonder what kind of abilities and maybe weapon a Sea Glass gem could have?
Abilities:
You could go the obvious (/lh) route and have them control water. But there are a lot of gems that control water, so you might not want that. Perhaps glass manipulation - like controlling and shaping molten glass, and/or utilising shards of glass to their advantage - could be interesting.
Since sea glass is formed over spending a lot of time in the water, maybe a sea glass gem could be able to see into the past through use of water or glass - similar to how Lapis Lazuli did in the show. Or, they could communicate with someone over a long distance using some kind of glass portal (like gem Zoom) without having to utilise any gem technology, alluding to messages in glass bottles and such.
Finally, I feel like the ability to create clones - like holograms, but made of glass instead of light - would be very cool. Perhaps they look identical to the gem aside from a few features - maybe hazy eyes or slightly reflective skin. I think this ties in to glass being reflective and creating some neat patterns when light hits it.
Weapon:
-Throwable bottles with poisonous gas, sleep gas, or mist that impairs vision (like splash potions in minecraft)
-If you decide to go with the glass manipulation idea, maybe they could forge weapons out of glass. They'd shatter after a few hits, but be very strong and could take any shape - also, glass shards can hurt a lot, too.
-Magical mirror - maybe it can fire some sort of laser or reflect enemy attacks back at them
-Magic wand
